After the autosplit...
1) Automatically set F2 (team chat) so comments are on your side (i.e. "Chuck, go south so we can attack that Nebby!") via the menu selection (F10).
2) Blind the Alpha/Bravo tab so you can NOT see the other side's ships and configuration. (This is the case with GB2 already).
3) Remove the R/F/A/B flags on CVs. This gives an unfair advantage to adversaries identifying your CV's capabilities.
4) Set Shift+F1; Shift +F2 on via the menu selection (F10).
I think #1 and #2 and #4 are very easy and will improve the game. The problem with #3 is that we only show pilots. We don't show if a ship has a sonarman; we don't show if it has an engineer or repairman; but we do show if it has a pilot and his type on board. Why? That should be considered confidential information from a game perspective and should not be displayed. How I configure my CV is my business and no one else's. If a BB does or does not carry a scout...that's no one else's business (especially the enemy's). That information should not be visible to the enemy.
If you disagree with the pilot recommendation, then how about showing all the stats on every ship while in the battleroom. Let's see the gunners, their levels, the type of guns and their ammo configurations, torpedo settings and planes too. Maybe we should also be able to identify the type of planes that are loaded on a CV (i.e. T1, locals, T2 or T5s, TBs or DBs). Maybe we should also get a readout on their armor settings too?
Ship configurations are confidential information and should not be displayed for the enemy to see and review prior to battle.
