I really don't know why SDE want to do this, as I know all these ships and sailors are just bunch of numbers, each player's data shouldn't be more than a few MBs... nowadays harddisk are cheap for huge TB space. Archive unactive account will make some players upset when they try to come back, not every read the forum or instructions so clearly like some of we do, then they eventually give up after they saw all their ships and sailor gone. This will make the player base smaller and smaller.
Hope SDE reconsider this policy and advertise a bit for navyfield although this isn't a new game, but it's so unique that none of the same type naval multiplayer game exists among the market.
