The Windows 7 Patch is a sham. 90% of the crap it changes are registry keys completely unrelated to NF.
Only files in it are the same mouse cursor the game already has.
The game is actually more stable without it than with it to top things off. As long as you have the full DirectX (7-11) libraries installed and Visual C++ 2005 Runtimes minimum installed.
