  • The "NavyFIELD.exe has stopped working" after christmas update

I'm using windows 8.1. The strange thing is, I have two computers, it seems to work on the other one fine, but not the other one.

I have tried remove all files end in .data, reinstall, compatibility switch...nothing works.
I need the game to work on my gaming computer, please help!

Try running it as Admin.

The following is recommended to run NF on Windows 7 and newer NT Operating systems.

(x86 (32 Bit) Operating systems SHOULD NOT INSTALL x64 (64 bit) libraries. Windows 8 and 8.1 are 64 bit)

Visual C++ Runtime 2005
Visual C++ Runtime 2008 (x86)
Visual C++ Runtime 2008 (x64)
Visual C++ Runtime 2010 (x86)
Visual C++ Runtime 2010 (x64)
Visual C++ Runtime 2012 (x86)
Visual C++ Runtime 2012 (x64)
Visual C++ Runtime 2013 (x86)
Visual C++ Runtime 2013 (x64)

The following is required to run NF and most newer games.

Direct X End-User Runtime (This will install legacy direct X files up to 9.0c)(Direct X 10 is only needed if you run one of the very few games that use it (All of which came with the DX10 installer)

The game requires the old DirectDraw DLLs that are in the Direct X Runtime to operate correctly.

Direct X 11 comes with Windows 7 and automatically installs with newer installs of 7 and 8. (Also NF does not use Direct X 11 anyways

An Date Execution Prevention exemption or disable is required for NF to work correctly.
