  • Do People Even Buy Neutral Sailors Anymore?

I've read many times on these forums about rolling neutral sailors and selling them to earn some credit, but the question is do people even buy them anymore? 

I've rolled a few sailors and posted on the trade section but I'm just thinking that people aren't interested in them these days  as they rather have classed, nationed sailors (I'm trying to earn a little more money for future CVs)

Personally, the last sailor I rolled was for a scout with a 12 rep base. Thats where rolling can be benefitial, high secondary stats. As opposed to elites, primary 13, all others 9. 

Now, after events and item drops, elite, base 13 sailors are super common. Not to mention hero sailors...

Might be worth a shot trying to roll for sailors with desireable primary and selective secondary stats for delayed classing purposes. Personally, I'd rather play to earn credits and spend my time rolling sailors, but hey, more power to ya. Good luck.

The question is do people even raise their own crews from level 12 anymore. 

We know that NF is barely getting new players anymore.
And people are leaving.
An efficient trading system is in place.
Account selling is against the rule but commonplace.
People have tons of credits but no idea what to do with them.

If you want a new BB nation or CV nation, the best bet would be acquiring your crews from someone else. No point in raising them.

hey uniyh,  why do u use rep based scout? does this repair the damage planes from AA, plane attacks or auto AA? i know someone also use Rep as base but no explaination i obtain.  for many years i use FP base coz i admired scouts esp T5 kills enemy DBs TBs or even low lvlFps.

It just adds to ship repair.  Helpful for people who haven't reached rep cap due to certain set ups etc.

FP base scouts don't help these days - only the air stat matters for all aspects.

@ Aerostorm- bump your post every once i a while.  Showcase the title with the best neut you have for sale.  Nowdays you probably want to also post the repair/restore stat of each of those sailors.

Yes...

Few example;

12 Eng 11 Rep will beat Elite Engineer in Ship Repair rate.

12 Torp 11 Rep or 11 Torp 12 Rep will beat Elite Torpedo.

12 Reload 11 Rep will beat Elite Reload for AA in Ship Repair Rate.

Also U need to know the market/nation who need the most, example;

Selling Elite Eng for KM is useless (highest eng stat), better sell em as MN or IJN or RM.

 

For CV, its only hard for the 1st tier, after u got 1, credits wont be a problem.

That is true what you say, Kogard. Part of the reason why I find the vast majority of crews for sale sub-par, and why I'm levelling my own stuff.

Most people, however, don't care that much for the game mechanics. You will be able to sell elite engies for ANY nation, as people think they are always superior.

Your question has pretty much been explained. Any sailor will contribute repair to the ship. Including BO. Which means it is benefitial to have sailors with high repair as secondary stat. 

Also, the Aircraft stat is the only one that affects Scouts, Fighter for Fighters, Bomber for Bombers. Those influnece the piolt's durability and offence abilities.

Given your point EricIdle, people would by neutrals. If they are up for raising them for lvl 12. I would expect a full BB6 neut crew with 12 primary stat and 11 rep stat would go for a nice chunk of change.

Put one of those together Aerostorm and you'd be sitting pretty. I'd buy it!

So I should try and roll a sailor with a +12 on the primary and +11 on the repair and try selling them as they would be better than eilite sailors?
I've just rolled at +12 Aircraft with +11 repair...

Yeah exactly. Granted the primary of a neut (12) will be less than the primary of an elite (13), but the sailor will make up for it in rep ability. 

That would make an ideal scout. You've got the idea.

Elites are sometimes better, sometimes not. I used the above sailor simulator to make my US BB crew such that I can go without repairmen and with just 100vets on all of my crew.
