Humberto my friend,
Please don't go down this path. There is absolutely nothing scientifically capable with today's modern technology to predict a volcanic eruption 6 years out. They can predict an eruption with some accuracy if monitoring devices are well-placed as the magma bubble is building within and those predictions are usually within 1-week or less; not 6 years out.
Anyone can predict doom and destruction 6, 10, or 100 years out and if they were lucky and it occurred they can claim they have super predicitive powers. If they get close and were only a few years or months off, they can still claim perdictive powers, but were off a little. If nothing occurs, then no one follows up and no one cares.
Do you have any idea how much money was made from charlatans hawking stupid theories of end-times in the last 3,000 years? I'm sure some two-bit movie producer is already setting up cameras in some digital simulator.
Just a couple of the money-makers:
- Y2K computer bug will result in the electrical grid shutting down, mass starvation, etc.
- 2012 Mayan calendar, etc.
Sorry, give me a few years and let's discuss the magma buildup and seismic changes and see if we can be a little more accurate on the due date for eruption.
Of course, you can always go to "Old Faithful" geyser and wait for the water to spurt. That's ususally on time every day.
