  • Coin Event & SS crew

Hi guys, this coin event is good fun, definately got me playing even more !.

But my question is how would you assemble a sub crew out of the coins ?  I get about 20-25 coins a day.  I took alot of peoples advice and leveled SS bo's for French, Russian and German.  I obtained a KM crew so I need a second crew.

Using the coins the Hero's look good value at 75 coins for engies, and maybe the Super elites for the torper, sonar ? 

I'll be doing this for French crew

i would use the super elites for engy's speed is everything for sub.

dont use them for the torpers. only thing you win is a bit of weight

I would still consider a hero sailor over a super elite for engy. The reasons:

- super elite has only +1 eng stat more (that small difference can be easily bridged by putting more vets on)

- hero has +14 rep/rest (super elite only has +10)

- for one super elite you'll get two heroes

Super elite sailors, in general, aren't so very useful, because of caps. You might save a bit of weight maybe (taking off crew after having reached the cap), or gain a few seconds of OH in the case of engies. The only ones that are clearly superior are fighter super elites, if there is no fighter cap.

Thank you Eric and Mdk.  Im leaning towards your opinion Eric because of the caps, and I also think the Hero's are better value

I wouldn't choose a superelite for sonarman. Sonar ability is uncapped but the difference of 1 point in potential is just a few milimeters of sonar detection range.

Torpers - Use Go for Super Repairmen. Cap is easy to reach. Delay class as armament sailors.
BO - Use Super Repairmen, although right now you'll want him ghosted. If you have spare weight or if things get changed, you then can some repair ability out of him to help you reach the cap.
Sonarman - Use Super Repairmen, get extra vets, you'll reach the ship cap for sonar and you'll be laughing. Don't promote over 2nd sonar.
Planesman - Air recharge is uncapped, so Super potential is what you want here.
Engies - If you aren't rep capped, use heroes. If you are, use Super Engies

Before the sub repair nerf (30% rep rate during dive IIRC), I would have suggested the same things as lj. Now, I'd say, forget about maxing repair - good repair is always welcome, true, but OH time is higher priority.

Well, the sub rebalancing that supposedly is in the works might change things again...
