Just for discussion:

I think we all realize that occasionally so few players are available room waiting times are excessive and dampen our enjoyment of NF.  Perhaps a change to make current GB XP with 20BB + 6CV the same possible at a total less than 20 BB + 6 CV would provide faster room turnover. Lower level players could enjoy more battles with same XP potential within the same play time available to them. Combinations of 20 total BB/CV (14/6, 16/4, 18/2) would lessen room waits and actual battle times as well so many adjustments could be considered.

Point taken! True that is possible but idea was not to restict room numbers, only make incentive to wait longer for 20/6 less attractive. Hosts would always have option to maximize room limits. Maybe 20 BB/CV total + 6 other ship types an option also?

Modifiying exp. won't stop hosts from sending rooms with 20/6 and it seems like too much work for the devs to code. So in the end SDE focuses resources on something that won't give you the result you want.

Not to mention the work involved in figuring out how to achieve this idea to begin with. The exp you earn depends on your own attack and team attack, not just the amount of BBs and CVs.

If you want small rooms, the best way would be to lower the limits and introduce a GB3 with the curent GB1 limits OR just allow hosts to be able to change the limits in GB1 to 14/6, 16/4, etc.

Won't work, the whole EXP system scales on attack and wouldn't work otherwise, as normally rooms with more overall attack dealt by both sides take more time, while games with less attack take normally less time. For EXP to scale reasonable to this, EXP must remain scaled to overall attack.



The entire idea behind GBs in the first place was a room type where the limits are preset so users can't legally restrict other players by ship class other than the hard coded limits. Where all ship classes were welcome to play with one another. Anything breaking from that principle is completely against what the room was there to do in the first place and we'd might as well go back to manually running Normal Rooms.

Would be good to see some BB345 rooms though instead of WaW *_*

You can play GB2, Occupation o Night Battle. Those room provide more exp than GB.
