All sailors give SD. Support more than the others. Of course BVEing them gives more SD.

Having them at the ship level also help quite a bit. But no restore ability is wasted. Same applies to repair.

I won't mention restorer for a solution, as a dedicated SD provider on a BB becomes useless fast enough.

That said, IJN has the worse supports, so they often are trailing behind other nations SD wise.

So I shouldn't be expecting 900SD on my Kongo, even if I am fully BVE.

You might be a little to late for boosting.

Incorrect. Prem Sailor or a Boost is a constant 20% boost.


It makes no difference when you boost a sailor. It has 20% Exp boost, Shown growth on a boosted sailor means nothing cause it takes the base actual growth and just adds 20% ability to all stats

2 sailors with all same stats vets, experts, rookies and classed at the same time will have the same ability when boosted if one was boosted @ lvl 20 and another @ lvl 100.



Short Version:
Get it right people. Boost is a 20% ability boost to all stats constant. Not a 20% growth boost. Hence why when a boosted sailor levels up it shows it's unboosted stats.

It also rounds down when it gives you the show ability on a boosted sailor. So being 1 ability off on your math by round up instead of down is normal.

1. You can buy/level a restorer until your supports can reach high enough SD.

2. B.V.E.ing certainly helps - if you aren't uber rich, start B.V.E.ing Engies first.

Prem sailors (boost) are retroactive.
