  • Cvs balance

I think we all see problem. For example we have 6 cvs. 3 of them are tbs and dbs only. And others are fps.
And what we see? Tbs and dbs cvs are in the same team. What does it mean? It means no light for team and nothing that they can do against fp cvs.
I don't know how to do it perfectly but I think it would be better to divide cvs into teams not only by their lvl or tonnage but also by plains.
For example if 2 db\tb cvs are in one team put at least 1 fp cv there too
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The only thing I wanted to tell that we have 4 cvs 5. 2 cvs 5 fp, 1 cv dbs, 1 cv tb. Why 2 cvs 5 with fps are in one team and others 2 are in bravo? And how to make an attack and I think it's not interesting for fp cvs just to kill dbs or tbs...

When you wanna have light then you must control your Scout.
This is not the work for the CV´s to hold the light .

It really depends.  If the airspace is controlled by enemy fighters, it is the job of the allied CV to clear them and/or provide sight.  If there is no enemy fighters, it is the job of BB to use their scouts for sight.  Scouts have much better sight range and last much longer in the air for "scouting" outside the enemy AA range.  Most fighters cannot scout well against good enemy AA.  Many BB do not control their scouts letting them fall into enemy AA fire or idling in useless areas.

You can argue that CV should also have scouts for sight but why burden the three CV if you have other 10 BB plus numerous CA and CL that can launch scouts.  A problem is that scouting does not give exp (unlike other games), so not many CA and CL use scouts to help the team.  You even see at least 1-2 BB without scouts in most games.

Make it to where BBs cannot leave the harbor without a scout. They made restrictions for CV pilot levels. Lets have one for those scoutless BBs.

On a side note, Hopefully those TB/BW CVs learn from their losses. I run my TBW with 2 scouts. vision is at least good for 75% of the time VS FW cvs. The FW cv is usually trying to chase down my tbs.. With that said, there shouldn't be a reason for our BBs to not manage their scouts.

*Hint
(I launch my scouts off my CV to get un fightercamped. While the fighters are engaging my scout. I launch my TBs. Thus continous waves.)

In the end yes. FW >TBW/BW but hey, Play what you enjoy and let me laugh at you when your using a horrid setup. AKA a sub without sonarman/planesman, a BB without scout, A CV launching 6+ planes per pilot.

Nowadays I see most BB only send their 1st scout at the start of the battle. Then they lack of multi tasking ability to send 2nd scout after their 1st died.  IMHO, BB player should always get their 2nd scout ready after their 1st died, to cover your teammate's scout refuel/ team fighters died/ team fighter refuel etc.  And Always set no refuel for scout in F10 menu. It's just like 50 credits or so for a scout....

In NF, Situation awareness and scouting skill(micro control, height adjusting, knowing which spot is vital to have light) are the most important skill.  These skills most likely differentiate a player is good or not.  Being able to multi task and react fast is the key to success in this game.

TBH, I don't think 100% FW on a cv is good idea. It totally lost the power of what a cv should have got. CV is supposed to be a fearful power from the air and surface ships can hardly dodge the attack from it. And being a FW you have to totally rely on your team BBs to win...   bring like 30% of bombers at least can help the team to finish some crippled strong enemies which will be key changing point to win.  But of course, multi tasking skill is involved again.

mates, you misunderstand the intension of the thread opener.

he's one of the bomberonly CVs and crying for fighter-CVs to become FC for his bombers. he stay always behind the FCV, regardless of whether the North (South) is blind because there's only a small cve.

if he want vision for BBs, after a bomber attack he could stay with his bombers above enemy ships. ... but he has activate the auto-recall of his bomber.

vinnson - thumbs up!

Do you really know how it works?

theres always a big difference between what happens in gbs and ha s etc...events time etc..

I reckon light is the vital parameter for TEAMS to win more ..and the side that has better light has the advantage...

who gives the light...well in my view everyone who can carry a scout should....and  BW should carry a scout or some fps because BBs scouts get fightercamped every now and again ,and run out of scouts or cant launch them.

BW who bomb and bring their bombers back straight are criminally stupid ..IF their bombers are the only source of light for their BBs.Happens so often....but hey they probably are fleetless and dont read forums...

FW are powerful but better to launch a couple of high level scouts  first so you can concentrate on useing your fps to fight with..  but FW become useless late in games sometimes when if they had some bombing capacity..etc..

Events are a bit different in that people use them to lvl crews and its not unusual to see someone who you know normaly carries scouts..with none as they seek to maximise  the opportunity to level...

But let me share with you a conversation I had with  KAISER player..no names..who was scoutless.....and a lvl 120 scout is an unappreciated gem in this game..

Me ...No scout?

BB6 player...No I dont have one.theyre too hard to use...

Amen

I love playin cv a lot. it's definately my favorite ship type in the game. The power you have on the outcome of a battle is immense. I would play cv a lot more... but it's like... i have to do a self-check before i leave the harbor with a cv. 1. how tired am I can i do all the multitasking and fast? 2. can I deal with the stress of doing my best and then being called a noob cv?

Almost every day I am encountering a distraught BB calling all cvs noobs.... I have spent the battle trying to kill enemy fps and scouts, and scouting for my BBs after i feel like a squads shot enough planes i send em to go scout...which can amount to about 60% time hunting plane 40% time scouting. I'm really invested in a battle and trying to pull a victory from the jaws of defeat and then a frustrated BB player calls all cvs noobs... typically after i send my ONE wave of bombers for the battle. I immediately lose interest and start messing around waiting for the defeat to happen...This 1 BB player is not worthy of my efforts... at all. Back at the harbor screen the motivation to click the yellow arrow again is draining fast. especially when I get called a noob cv after zero BBs go south and i spend the whole time scouting enemy south/mid trying to raise awareness of their flank (which was useless due to how terrible the BBs were) and not even hunting planes.....then after like 7 of my BBs die and enemy still has like 8 BBs i send 1 wave of bombers and immediately get verbal abuse from distraught BB players.... Yeah i could spend my time having fun, playing a war game, and not experiencing naive stupid comments outside of nf.

Jastin don't worry about what other players think.. some of us BB players ( myself included )just need to take responsability for our own actions that would contribute to the team winning.

I too play CV quite a bit, I don't get many complaints.. but when I do i try to make up for it.

I always target any scout i can fnd near the BB line whether i'm north or south with my first load of fighters; effectively blinding the enemy, this goes a long way towards

Arrgh.
