Yea, pretty sad, I had just recently gotten fired or voluntaryly quit my job, so I've had alot of time on my end to trouble-shoot (TS). So I'll get in depth now for what I thought would be a stable build for NF based on the most promissing of all operating systems in witch I will now abbrieviate as (OS) .
Ever since the win7 or even that pos every one calls vista (combination of windows millenium with some 95,98,xp,and maybe3.1?, thrown into it and alot of other shit thrown into it), sigh, roll out this GAME has been crashin left and right, I've spent countless dollars on premium to no avail, if I am lucky I'll get 2-3 games in then crash, then go through all these forums, although be it thier was some pretty good advice... But I UNDERSTAND some of the issues were on the server end. However, it came to my attention that winxpsp3 was the most stable, so I'm sitting here thinking, ive got an old ass comp sitting here, single core 2.1 ghz amd barely 2ghz mem just collecting dust, WHY not install of winxppro on that and be done with all the freakin (TS) ing. PERFECT! Nope didnt pan out that way, so i combed the forums for those old posts on optimizing XP for stuff like turn off dep except for NF and purge your what nots and, create more virtual mem, Im just thinking, Y, Y must I do all this to play this freaking game that used to work so that I can connect with my old friends, wich are banned now or lost interest in playing this game, that used to be and still can be the most awesome game ever!
Ok lemme vent, but, to the point I tried all the winxp suggestions to stabilize the game play but, looks like a new version of game gaurd in effect, I get this stupid message b4 i log in "HACKING ATTEMPT HAS BEEN DETECTED YOU WILL BE REPORTED", huh? wth...., what is this ... I read this stuff on the (navyfield.com forums posted by a mod) and now im hacking this game now? And those fixes that used to work like setting permissions through administrative accounts DOES'NT work any more? Wait thier must be a mistake, lemme reinstall windows start from scratch... (yea I got to much time on my hands....) still this stupid message pops up on load....Y
Why does it seem like the people who can benefit money wise want to kill this cash cow? all I whant is a working game client and I dont have to (TS) on my end, unless I'm getting paid!
