I have noticed that torpedo bombers can get a target lock on a submerged submarine if a ship has the submarine on sonar. Is this new?

If the ship can see the sub then any thing else can see the sub such as other ships, aircraft etc.

Its not new, Its that the Target Lock can be disabled by having the Sub go into a Crit Dive and out, or if it gets sunk
