i have been seeing , on a regular basis, especially from 2200(10 pm) to about 0400(4am), advertisements for a couple of "world of..." online games.

this an ideal time to catch gamers AND should also be the cheapest costing monetarily advertising time for a company to INVEST in the future of an online game such as...ohhh...Navyfield!!!

even more importantly, SDE could advertise the STEAM RELEASE  to maximum capability.
IF the release date is firm and hoping for the best with fleet reformations, etc, etc.

wouldn't this also be a grand time to re-incorporate the TRADE system?

heads up SDE...your competition is running amok!!

The steam page lists that trade is available. Fingers crossed that its coming back cause I'm dirt poor >.<

If it's not coming back, get ready for the negative reviews for false advert.

I dont think they really care what is correct or not correct. Just like the bugs in the game. They are releasing with ALL of them. They just want the Steam release and get $$$ from all the new players. Line their pockets and then close the server when the influx wears off.

No there is no native Linux version of the client.. but...maybe if you ask them ...

However...

I have tried running on linux Ubuntu 15.x or higher using Wine and PlayOnLinux but the video is even more buggy than on any windows platform and the crashing is the same.

I did try out CrossOver but is costs $$ and had the same results.

You could always just go with a linux dual boot...
It does work..but then your just running windows :-)

I have a mate who runs NF on his mac dual booting into Windows..
We tried Parallels or vmware for Mac has the same Video and crashing issues.

The major issue with the NF client is that believe it or not even though its over 13 years old it was never submitted to Microsoft for Windows certification or tuned correctly for the various windows versions...
Remember the issues when WinXp/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 came out and each time the stability of the game client to even load was only fixed by the community getting together to find a solution...Even if you paid $$$ for this game the SDE "support ticket" was no help.
I recall a discussion with Yuno and other fleet leader on the TNF Teamspeak where this was discussed.

tanks mfischer for your explicit answer.

I run it on Debian with virtual box without issues.
