Hello New players coming from steam.
First you need to know which ship and nation you would want to start out with.
There are different kind of ships to choose from.
Battleships(BB)
Carrier(CV)
Submarines(SS)
Support ships (CA,CL,DD,FF,APA)

Nations: There are 6 nations you can choose from. Each different nations have advantages and disavantages.

Sailors
There are many sailors in NavyField that you should consider looking before leveling.

Sailors stats
Before leveling up a sailors take notes that each sailors have a base stats
Yellow sailors which new players start out with are (+12)
+11 base are ok and decent but +12 base sailors are better
+12 are good if you don't have any elite sailors.
+13 Elite sailors are great you can obtain one from events.
+14 Hero sailors which you can get it from medals store you can exchange your medals for hero sailors. You can get medals from playing. https://fm.en.navyfield.com/Store/Overview.aspx
+15 Super elite sailors you can get it from events which you can get it right now on a ongoing drop event.
+18 NFX rare Red sailors you can get it from winning a contest or a big events.
+19 Santa sailors are the rarest in the game you can only get this from GMS.
Builds are important in this game. If you are missing a sailor when you get to a high end ships you won't be able to ride a Battleship6(bb6) or bb7. Do some research and planned out before starting out this game. Make sure you have enough sailors to ride a bb6,cv6,ss6.
For Example: If you are going to play as a Battleship i recommend to always have 2 gunners (reload or Accuracy) 7 Support Engineer, 1 Scout, 1-2 Repairman, 2 extra gunners( AA or reload, accuracy if you want to use hedhodge) or 2 extra support in T slot. This will help you ride a bb6 in the future. You need exactly 14 sailors to ride a bb6. This build will allow you to have a maxinum speed with any battleships in the game.
