  • Aircraft unavailable, why??

Hi everyone

I've just upgreded my rookie pilot to fighter pilot, and now (even when he's not on board) if I click over the airplane place in the dockyard, it says "Option currently unavailable", so I can't use airplanes at all. Can someone explain me why??
P.S: my ship is CA York.

you can't mount fp on the CA. only scout

Yes, but now I can't even use scouts....I can't use any plane....

Hence your problem.
Raise another rookie pilot and do NOT upgrade him if you plan to use a scout.

So, clearly speaking, my fighter pilot is perfectly unuseful without an aircraft carrier? Isn't there a cruiser or a battleship in which he can fit?

Nope, fighter pilots can only be used on CVs (plus a few CAs for IJN). To continue using scouts for CAs and BBs, you have to leave the pilot unclassed as rookie. it's silly, i know.

Yes, there's a cruiser and battleship that can use fighter/bombers.

But it's the other door nation, japanese.

IJN CL Oyodo
IJN CA Mogami(1944)
IJN BB Ise(1943)

these are the only ship that can carry other than scout, but it low plane space than that of a carrier

when you class your pilots from rookie to fighter you loose the ability to put scout planes on your normal ships.. fight pilots and bomber pilots are only for cv's or cv type ships.

This is precisely the reason SDE should put a warning message about fighter/bomber pilots being unable to operate scouts anymore upon promotion. Or better yet add a new promotion for the rookie pilot.

OP: Too bad about your scout. On the bright side, you've got a cool fighter pilot now. :)

well, 3 fp and 4 tb, or 7 fp or 5 fp and 2 tb to go if your planning on having RN CV in the future ^^
