  • Let the Test Team Balance Subs

As above. Do not release SS5's until SS Balance by the Test Team

Otherwise, players will flat out refuse to play and the game will die within months.

SS4's are already competitive in HA game modes (which have nearly all 120 ships apart from Submarines).

Any further buff is just going to further alienate all non submarine ships;

The SS's, while being counters to BB's, shouldn't still be an auto win.

They should have their levels adjusted for their tier.

They should have their power adjusted for their tier.

They should have their playstyle changed from Glass Orbital Cannons to a skill based hit and run ship, designed to harass the enemy from behind their lines.

Submarines should be released at the time, Nerf should be applied as soon the next tie comes out, there is no necessary holding them until they are nerfed. Take in note, SDE, ONF, TNF are pretty much busy with other projects, and holding them until they are balanced, will be some long time. But im pretty sure, SDE will have a solution, when ss5 comes out.Dont worry, as usual they will go thru test server first then, they will be released, that decision if they are released or not, correspond to SDE decision.
I ll say NO.

I say no to overpowered content. I appreciate you want to have lots of fun in your overpowered ships, but we must look at the bigger picture. It will quite literally kill the game.

Submarines, are not killing the game, and you know it. Please, dont accuse or blame for it, you know submarines are not doing. People are leaving for different causes, and it not all about submarines. Some people are leaving due to high amount of c rashes and lag, other are leaving for innactivity or busy with real life, with school, works and etc, and other maybe bc they dont like the idea that subs were introduced in NF, but neither you or me, are able to prove our "belief" why people are leaving. But, i highly doubt they will leave permanently, specially if you have invested alot of money.

I remember when everyone was "going to leave" when the new fighters came out. I remember when everyone was "going to leave" when subs came out. I remember when everyone was "going to leave" when that hackshield or whatever came out.

I believe SDE has caught on to these little threats and no longer takes them seriously. That being said. ss5's will not ruin the game. If anything, they will encourage people to drive something besides bb6/cv6. That would be a nice change of pace. God forbid you have to do something different and work as a team from time to time. How hard would it be to get a few people who know what they are doing to hop into a leningrad, build it for speed and go hunt some subs? I have taken many ss4's in russian dd's (have lots of space for dc's) with level ~25 sailors with no problem. I think it is fun.... But thats the kind of person I am. I am sure if you give people a reason to go do that, than they will. As it is right now, usually by the time the subs are done fighting eachother there is 1 or 2 left and bb's just sink em when they have to surface after the sub battles.

Variety is the spice of life.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it IS a reason some people find NF less fun than before. Not the only one, of course. But its a reason, and their release is part of why I do not think my account will come out of sleeping mode right away.

The fact you seems to suggest we shouldn't care about them since they spent money is also disturbing imo.

SS5 promise to be wtf weapons, one has to be somewhat balanced as a CV, and yet again, you do not consider the whole server in your statement

Your point is that you want your SS5, rest of the server be damned, they can nerf them later. Your point is you like the content being overpowered so long as it is YOUR content.

I'd like to see what you'd say if the content being introduced was a BB class that specialized at nuking subs. I'd like to know how you can ask for PHH to be nerfed and on the other side, ask for other OP content to be buffed/thrown in raw.

As far as SDE goes, they balance for NFKR. NFNA =/= NFKR. We play with caps, they don't. Thats our job to correctly adjust them before introducing them.

Actually you'll find with no BB/CV joining room, they'll start much slower, and with the BB6/CV6 not getting out since they don't enjoy being nuked silly by subs, that the shared xp part of every ship gets a massive drop. A change of space indeed.

So your're saying we should balance them taking in consideration people that can't manage their air? Thats a recipe to disaster.

You balance a ship to even out the potential of it, the fact its easy or hard to do so is irrevelant. Balance is acheived when you take 2 ships, and when both are played flawlessly, you'd be hard press to say who will win.

I've said it a lot, SS/ASW balance project will by far be the hardest project NFNA teams have ever seen, as they need to have them balanced to promote skill, reduce the auto-win RPS (Rock/Paper/Scissor) between SS/BB/ASW, but at the same time keep a small advantage from ASW to SS and SS to BB. Advantage that only a skilled player will really be able to take, making noob ASW fail, and noob SS fail just as hard.

Balanced submarines aren't. But overpowered SS3/4 are. The lag and crashes have always been here. The game has declined since the SS3/4 and will decline further when the SS5's are released until they are balanced.

My point => i ve been waiting for a long time for SS5 to play with, i think thats a very valid point. Answering your other question, if that was a BB, if i were playing BB, release it also, i want my next tier, either BB or SS. I ve no problem , codeying the submarines, but hopefully doesnt take that long. But either way, im going to sit and wait, playing with my cv, until i hear the new news.

Exactly my point.

You call a good reason selfishly wanting a new ship, OP or not. You do not think past yourself and your impatience to play with the new toy.

I'm sorry to read that honestly.

For your information, if a BB7 would be hypotically created, and would obviously be wtf OP, I'd lobby against a release in live server, even if I'm mainly a BB player, simply because I understand it would hurt the server, hurt the activity, and make NF less fun for everyone.

If you want to be seriously considered in balancing discussion, I'd suggest you start thinking past your own wishes, and ask yourself what the server needs as a whole. That applies to the whole Sub FanClub I've been getting run in with in the last few weeks or so.

I invite you to really think about it, and no this is not a flaming. I'm trying to put yourself in perspective with what you are saying and suggesting how you could improve your view on the topic and on what balancing means. Also on the wide impact and consequence OP content have on this game.

I only have 1 thing to say: I will agree for a FAIR balance. Lets start discussing it, find some players and i will find some good ss players, and lets do our own testing in area 14. Using T.S. if this sounds good to you.
