Does anyone knows that the ability cap for Torpedos is?

Since the new forum the alaberts guide on ability doesnt gets displayed correctly. I think i remember a number around 1mil. Can anyone comfirm this or has that changed. Furthermore can anyone repost alaberts guide on ability.

I tested torpers with 850k, 1mil, 1.5mil and 2mil true abilities.

Old (aldabert's) 850k true ability cap is outdated.

1mil, 1.5mil and 2mil true abilities showed no difference in torpedo reloading time.
So now it's safe to assume that torpedo reload cap is 1mil true ability (might be slightly lower).

tested on nebraska server, NF version 1.327.

P.S. someone should test in the range of 850k - 1mil true ability to find out the exact cap.

I tested it on the test server before any torpedo reload adjustments were made for SS5, and found that 854k was capped and 841k was not (as far as I know, TA cap still hasn't changed on test, just the base reload times). This should be the same TA cap as 1.327 live.

The tests are as follows: L120 overvetted torpedo man on the forward tubes (definitely torpedo reload capped, so as to be the control for the test), and L90 torpedo man with partial crew on the aft tubes.

1. Hover mouse over aft torpedo man to show crew levels and displayed ability.
2. Start test mission
3. Select front/back torpedoes (press T, then X)
4. Spam space bar until torpedoes load

If the forward torpedoes load and launch first, then the aft torpedo man is not at the torpedo cap. If they're simultaneous, then the aft torpedo man is at the torpedo cap.

Two tests are back to back, the first showing a ~841k TA torpedo man that reloads slightly slower than the control, and the second shows a ~854k TA torpedo man who loads at the same speed as the control.

test server =/= live servers.

that's how i did my tests, but my tests need more accurate testings in 850k - 1mil true ability ranges.
anyone up for the task?

Actually if im not mistaken the test server was recently made to copy live server data

I did test it a while back. Its slightly over 1 mil true ability. I did get to the number 1 005 728 TA (1 005 476 TA was not cap)

EDIT

this is for submarines launchers, i didnt test it with ship launchers

Well if it is only like that on the test server right now, it will be like that on live soon enough when the sub changes come over.

Either way, I would indulge you if I had torpedo men in the right TA range, but I don't right now.

I think there is no point to test via ship launchers, since they are low lvl compared to SS3/4 launchers...

My tests were done with IJN SS3, because it has fwd and rear tubes and since SS4 uses same launchers.
And as i said in my first post on this topic, 1/1.5/2mil true abilities didn't show any difference to reload time = 1mil true ability or maybe a little lower.

@mahara, please tell, what nation sub you tested with? maybe you made a mistake calculating true ability?

Before someone asks, why we need to know torpedo reload cap. So that our fat crews could fit on kita, or lover tier subs, we trim/ghost our torpers just to match torpedo rld cap.
The above kinda explains how my IJN SS2 can go 40knots :D

i did that test with KM SS2,3 and 4
my result is ~1.006kk TA, you said yourself with 1kk TA and above it didnt show any difference in reload, are you sure you didnt have slightly over 1kk TA? ( i am talking about 6 000 TA here, its unlikely i made a mistake)
