What's the deal with about 20 processes of ffdshow running while I am playing NF.

After about 30 or so games, this brings my PC down to it's knees.

Its a codec you got for MKV files to play is my guess and that is causing a conflict

try to remove the codec and see if it clears up

DKpimp
You don't need to disable it. You can use the codec tool to inable it for specific programs.

Thanks guys.
I went through and disabled all the codecs that interface with ffdshow.
I do recall having to use this decoder in the past to watch certain movies on my PC, but I rarely if ever use it anymore... only when I get the urge to watch Conan the Barbarian :)

If you installed cccp to watch video this can happen too.

Easy to solve:

1. Go to FFDShow Audio Decoder Configuration (In win7 just press start and write "ff" it will show up, in other win you'll have to search for it)
2. Choose "DirectShow Control" (On the left side)
3. There's a textbox that is labeled: "Don't use ffdshow in:" - click in the textbox
4. Press "End" and paste this string: ";NavyFIELD Launcher.exe;NavyFIELD.exe" (without the " ")
5. Press Ok =)

cheers
