  • error has occured in update function

Since ver 1.323, I couldn't connect to the update server/s.  The error message would be:

Connecting Update Server. Please Wait. Try 1 
Critical Error. Version Configuration File Not Found. 
Connecting Update Server. Please Wait. Try 2 
Critical Error. Version Configuration File Not Found. 
Connecting Update Server. Please Wait. Try 3 
Critical Error. Version Configuration File Not Found. 

Update unsuccessful:
The Navy Field will load, but you might not be able to log in successfully.
Please download the latest patch from our official website
Or contact the Navy Field GM.

When I click the "play game" button, a window pops up with an error:

error has occured in update function

Now, I have been able to play through it up to ver 1.326.  Can't auto patch, manual patch and login with the recent 1.327 update.

So, I uninstalled the old NF, downloaded the full 1.327 installer and installed it.  Same errors but I still can't login.  The login window says ver 1.327 so I have the latest version.

Help?

So after writing my issue here, I started NF again and I got the dreaded Data File Corrupted error.

I tried following the fix documented at http://navyfield.com/Community/Forum/View.aspx?num=2066&searchtype=0&pagecount=0&searchvalue=&sort=5&category=E01&page1=1

And now I get......


some error about hacking detected and the game won't start!
