  • Increasing R slot size of POW

I was wondering if the R slots of the Pow should be increased slightly so that it can effecivetly use (in bb terms 3 binds each slot) at least 1 set of the 16 inch trips N

Why? POW is just fine as it is.
Btw, are you not the same one who wants the Hood downsized allegedly so as to increase its survivability?

I know NF =/= RL but I'm sorry, the PoW is designed to fit Quad 14" guns in the 2 front and back slots, and Twin 14" in the second front slot.

That gives you a 10-gun broadside that gives it good firepower and contributes to its playstyle. IMO it's strong enough as it is (this is from fighting against them, never owned one myself).

If you want 16" trips, you should have gone Nelson, or wait till Lion.

No.

Opportunistic rushing double quad N rocks enough as it is.

POW is one of the fastest and it is quite sturdy. Give it range and it won't have any flaws.

the Problem with the 14 inchers is that they lack the range needed to be truly effective against ships of equal tier or higher. The L version may have some range but they have terrible spread. I think the first set of 16 inchers would do.

If you give it the 16's, then it's a Nelson with a different turret arrangement. Why not just play Nelson?

I think the POW was over nerfed, you hardly see any in game these days. Quad N's are very powerful but the lack of range is a complete joke, as is the poor range and spread of quad L's.

Ships like POW and Vanguard have been over nerfed and thats why you don't see them being used anymore, its a shame that there are ships in the tree which players never use.

Every tree has ships like that. You only use a PoW for as long as it takes to get KGV. You only use Guam for as long as it takes to get Colorado, or Repulse to Nelson, etc, etc.

The only difference is how much variety you have on your grind up to BB5. UK does okay, but Repulse and PoW are the weak spots.

I thinks some of the overnerfed ships need some sort of buffing to make them credible again. The POW second front R slot should be brought up to the same size as the rest of the R slots

Honestly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the PoW, I ran PoW SW with blocking quads in the front and I had no problems tearing through GB. At the same time using the 14" L guns worked just fine too, the range was sufficient for a BB3.

The PoW is not meant to have 16" guns, if u want 16" Nelson L guns (which have bad spread and mediocre range) then go play either a nelson or a hood. (the funny thing is even in a Nelson I still preferred the 14" N guns.

Agreed PoW is fine as is... but I'll stick my neck out and reply to the Hood comment: Yes, Hood needs more survivability... at least it's hit box is too tempting for DBs.
