In terms of what?

All of them require grinding and awesome crew to enjoy most ships.

Guess if you don't have boosts and exp/vet packs nor plan to buy high level sailors then UK is the easy mode.

But in the end it depends on which BB5(6) attracts you?

Best bb line as in good bbs all the way threw the line I think IJN would be best going the fuso line. All ships are pretty consistant with dmg, angles, range, speed, spread, armor penetration, turning ability,and best aa boat too.

All have their own strenght and weaknesses honestly.

People will tell an order depending on their own preference and playstyle.

Some thread, maybe in the old forum, but I think in that one, have post that exhaustively list every nations' advantage and disadvantage. Know this however :

Easy : UK
Normal : USN, MN
Hard: IJN
Very hard: KM

SN I'd place between IJN and KM, but I didnt play it myself yet to truly appreciate the difficulty of the nation.

The list simply notes the ability required of a player to successfully draw the full benefit of the nations advantage. UK is the easiest one, allowing many mistake from the player and retaining many advantages, mainly the average sturdiness of their ships and the support advantage.

KM range advantage and low firepower drawback need more management from the player to be successful.

So even if I'd tell you KM is the best (and for me it is), you will struggle if its your first BB line,

I suggest USN to new players. Their ships have some at level issues, mainly BB1 and 3, but teach a lot about the game, and allow you to learn about many way of playing a same ship, as USN BBs often are versatile in the way they can be used. Especially Iowa.

With UK as a first line, sure its a bit easier, you might have less of an adaptation to make hitting your first BB1, but you also might develop bad habits, or simply fail to gain a good one without being a bad habit per say.


Always get information about the crew setup you need for the end-of-the-line ship, and information about the AA gunners classing before starting a new line(some nations have special ways of classing them). Avoiding crew mistake is a good start to any player, one that many do when uninformed, and that I myself did starting this game 4 years ago.

Any BB Line can be very good, it actually depends on how you look at it and how you use one. Some will readily say UK is the best due to the fact that it can AW very effectively. Others will say Monty due to its humongous damage or Alsace due to its speed and damage/aa or IJN/KM due to its AA/range or SN's Soyuz (Haven't played one yet so Idk).

It actually depends on the person play the ship and how he/she uses the inherent advantage of each BBs. You should research on what sailor setup/combination will work best.

As for me, I summarize the BBs in 3 Main things. Speed, Damage and Range other factors supports these 3 that I mentioned like AA, Turning Ability, Armor and etc. You can never have all 3, you can have 2 of each but not all in 1 BB, find what suits you best and go make that.

Since armor, dmg and acc is all that matters for you,


UK: very sturdy without armor (save Hood), has few true AW ships, good damage but if you choose acc you will suffer at reload (to hit both acc and rld cap faster we recc rld classing). Quad N blocks easy, however.
USN: fair sturdiness, great damage, if you class acc/rld/acc its balanced.
IJN: a bit similar to USN but weaker armor but better shell penetration. But real bonus for IJN is speed and AA for BB45 (personally my fav line and top style points).
KM: weak armor, crap damage (work is being done), very hard to concentrate the spread. Shines in range and AA. True slingshot play is most effective than any other nation.

MN: tough ships, good damage, it's now easier to gather spread. Very fast and longest AA. Mini BB123.
SN: haven't picked up due to HQ shortage. But from my observations they are tough and hit freakin hard.

The test team will be doing more work on KM BB5, MN and SN so things may change in future.

Heh, UK isn't that easy until you're crew is good at ~lv 95...

Easy: UK, US (UK gets rep+res+1 extra support. US is more durable than most nations.)
Normal: IJN, MN (High damage, low durability, somewhat fast to very fast, short to medium range)
Somewhat hard: SN (High damage, slow speed, below average durability)
Definitively hard: KM (long range, low damage, fast->slow speeds, low durability)

KM UFLAK LINE!!!!
