  • Adjusting Ship Limits to Retain Gameplay

I know there have been lots of complaints and other threads about how to deal subs in the game and their impact on the game.   I think that at this point  the limit of 10 is too many for a great battle  game.   Three ss4 or ss5's rushing south or north can completely cripple an entire bb line .   There simply are not enough players  playing in support roles to counter the high numbers of high lvl subs.   This  ends up forcing bb's to either focus or fighting and running from subs instead of engaging other teams bb's.   I have been in several games recently where  a group of subs has wiped though  an entire line of two bb4's two bb5's and a bb6.  Only one was sunk in the entire. encounter.   I am proposing that the limit of subs be limited to 6 per game.   3 per team is more reasonable than 10 per game.   This way the subs can influence the outcome of a game but not determine it  Let BB's fight bb's again!.

If anything allow more subs into GB.
I have had a blast lately sub hunting.
Glad I been saving all my PHH.
Only like 4500 phh left though.
We need another event with drops!!!!

Don't forget, they may do something for thanksgiving too. drops it to 3 weeks or so.. can you last that long rocket?

1. Normal rooms (BB#-#, BB wars, whatever you make up)
2. BB&CA mode
3. BB mode
4. Night Battle (no subs right?)

Theres 4 options.

I think that at this point the limit of 10 is too many for a great battle game. (In the event 5 SS don't nullify 5 SS and the ASW peeps screw up, sometimes a BB gets sunk by them!!!!)

(Even though a single ASW Molt can clean up all 5 enemy ss, even 1 living is too mny, they might get to play NF in something besides a BB, NOES!!!!)

Only one was sunk in the entire. encounter. (Since none of us have an escort with sonar/HH , we could'nt kill them, and wouldnt run)

I am proposing that the limit of subs be limited to 6 per game. ( So we want to make damn sure a BB never gets sunk by an SS again.)

3 per team is more reasonable than 10 per game. ( Even retards should be able to kill THREE ss) This way the subs can influence the outcome of a game but not determine it (This way subs will have nil effect on a battle)

Let BB's fight bb's again!.(Since we don't ever use AW, BB select, BB?CA select or Night Battle, let BB RULE GB AGAIN!!!!!!)

The problem is not with ship limits.

AA players get high XP and bonus experts.

ASW players get bad XP due to mild self-inclicted damage due to depth chages being able to damage surface ships.

Fix this and the BB/SS balance will resolve itself.

Hi all..

I think SS are fine. I have no issues in my BB's or CV's or anything else, as NF have enough countermeasures in place in-game to deal with them.

When a FF01 or low lvl DD can kill a sub very easily, there really is nothing to complain about.

Actually, ASW players get bad exp for two reasons:-

1) Due to the same reason Subs get bad exp; ASW weapons are classed as torps and there is an issue with that currently

2) Subs are low level for their tiers.

Furthermore, if you fix the exp, it still will not fix the Sub balance.

Guys guys! Here is what is going on:
-Sub exp is crap and must be dealt with, also subs are available at a lower level which is unfair for BBs.
-Subs tiers are not complete, so the SS5 is an endgame ship for now (The same way BB5s were for a while) so they are expected to deal with other endgame ships for the moment. This is not fair for anyone and leads to OP content being developed, but until the SS6 shows up, we have to deal with it and do our best to show up in the test session (Whenever they are) to help balancing this awesome game.
-BBs are not supposed to dealt with subs directly, get an escort or something.
-Again, subs are not balanced. We just need to tolerate them, and avoid feeding the trolls.

A sub should not be able to withstand a full broadside from a battleship. That needs to be fixed. A sub's strength is supposed to be its stealth. It is not its ability to take a BB2's broadside. Strong attack, weaker defense.
