  • (Crew Question) Im kinda.. stuffed?

PUR3R4Z0R

Hi all,

Ive just reached my BB1 on KM and after reading some posts regarding BBs I realized im in some kinda of problem.

In many threads people suggest 4 or more engineers for KM, the problem is, I have only 1. Actually, all of my support sailors, restore, repair and engineer, I have only one per sailor.

Also, my gunners are at level with my BO with only few thousand exp difference, that means my spread as is pretty crap. None of my sailors are boosted or whatever. Upon realising these facts I reckon im pretty stuffed for the game.. Is there anyway to turn the tide for me, or is this it? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Start a new crew with the same gunners.... Maybe go another line as well? Trust me it'll make things better

Roll some more sailors to make up for what you are lacking.
Rebuy a smaller boat and level them until they match what you already have...

Sometimes you need to go backwards to go forwards...

You are far from stuffed. In fact all we can say about your situation is that you 'have started'. Your realization that the game is more complex than you took it is both timely and, frankly, the same for many players.

Listen to the advice above...it is solid and meant to help. I always run 2 crews at the start to level 2 sets of gunners and supports. A third BO delivers the remaining support crew. Why do I do this. Firstly, because I was directed to the 'Nation Forums' on this website and what I read there seemed reasonable. Secondly, www.trainworld.us, amongst other things, informed me that the number of sailors required for the big ships is greater than for an FF. Obst guide explains the lower level complexities there as well.

As for the vets and experts issue, this is more difficult for non-premium access players, but is still doable. take advantage of events etc and use your items wisely. Joining a Fleet can help; my first good gunners were 11/10 given to me by one of the NATO players...for free.

Finally, ask questions...both of TNF and of the more experienced players. But take it from me, I would suggest that at least 85-90% of the players have found themselves where you are now. It is far from unusual and youare not 'stuffed'.

My gunners are now level 63, if i use the same gunners and work my way to from scratch with new crew, I wont be able to play Blitzkrieg games am I right? Since I heard any sailor over lv 60 is not permitted, or is it only the case with BO?

Not that stuffed and to be honest not at all your fault the starter crews and yellow crews are very misleading.

As has been said start a new KM BO, use the same gunners, roll some more rep and engy sailors (I'd leave the restorer to gather dust it isn't much use later) I'm sure someone will give you as many points as you need if you ask to help roll the sailors.

You want to end up with a KM crew of
2 BOs Bismarck and O Pro lines
2 main gunners
2 aa gunners (a must for KM)
4 engy
4 reps
1 scout

Also with the aa gunners you'll have the emden to use at lvl25 guns are lvl30 (I think) which is great for levelling and you'll be on track in no time.

Unfortunately your on Nebby or I'd help.

Also if you haven't joined a fleet it might be worth looking, there are many good fleets that will help you learn the game and the crew you need, if your in a fleet already they aren't doing their job as this should have been identified in the recruitment process.

Anyway good luck, and learning the game now will put you in much better stead than just racing through the levels.

Just remember that you'll need a cv crew too, 6fp 2 db (for km) minimum. Then you probably want a seaman too so that's 9 more sailors to level as a min. Most cvs have more pilots to allow variation (fighter heavy, balanced and bomber heavy setups).

Anyway good luck read the forums and don't worry 99% of players can tell you a stroy (or many) about their first crew. I have a yellow aa gunner as my radio man and I classed my scout as a db at level 70 as I wanted a db and knew no better.

Make a new BO, and make sure you get the best possible stats for your new support sailors.

One thing I will recommend for getting experts is an AA whore Moltke. Well worth paying the money for the ship.

Another thing, read the KM forums. A wealth of information is there.

Gtdawg
Get a new BO
Make sure to get 2 +11 or +12 rep sailors and 3 +11 or +12 engys and two gunners for AA (rotate them as you level)
Use your current gunners and level on the other BB line.

When you get to Emden, go nuts and try to get experts far and wide. Don't instantly go back to your other line either. It wouldn't hurt to level the supports and gunners well above that of your starting crew.
