  • Game Locks up/Won't Load.

Originally the issue was that when I ran NF and joined a lobby it would glitch.
So, doing as told I set all three EXE files (Updater, Launcher, and Game) to windows compatibily mode with 1998/me.
The new problem is that I cannot get past loading the game in the third image.
(1st contains airplanes, second has a battleship, 3rd has a carrier)

Did I do something wrong er...? Just kinda stuck with no solution

EDIT: I also tried Windows 2000 but I get the same result + more lag.

Product Name: Compaq Presario CQ50-139WM
OS: Vista (32-bit)
RAM: 4GB (upgraded from 2GB)
Hard Drive: 150GB
Internet: Verzion Wireless 4G LTE Wi-Fi

this used to happen to me a lot on my old PC(not since i have a new one) i always thought it happend less after a defrag, but maybe that was more in hope!

so try a defrag and see if that works, if it does run it after every patch. sorry i cant be of more help.

You might be having more of an issue with the wireless connection.
Try a pathping report and post the results here (see the sticky if you need detailed instructions)

All I got when I tried that was a "0 No Resources."


I'll try the defrag l8r but doubt it'll help.

Happens to me as well, usually I have to restart my computer, then it works. Its still very annoying though. I use Win XP, on my vista 64 bit computer the game crashes as soon as "play game" is pressed every time.

NF crashes alot on windows vista, compability mode didn't fix much for me. I ended up buying a student windows 7 license, it only was 50 euros and fixed 99% of the crash issues I had.

keep in mind that NF wasn't built for vista or win 7, there are still a ton of issues. I have also heard of people having the same problem of the game not loading at all.

try running it as an administrator. i think i used to have the same problem too

True, but my dad's computer has crashed so I'll be upgrading either way. Perhaps the win7 64 bit 16GB RAM/Graphics Card (Intigrated), 1TB Hard Drive, and 3.2 GHz Processor ZT Systems Desktop behemoth I'm getting will run it more smoothly/fix this painful problem...
