same problem..was just trying to send support ticket for it..i cant even post at NF Support..it says "Bad Request"

Same here, already sent ticket, no response atm.

I have tried re-download and re-install game , didnt work so far.

check all your firewall setting, maybe one of them blocked hack shield.

I have used Kaspersky Internet Security & 360 Security 2 software.

This problem caused by 360. Just do not let it block untrusted software automatically.

Surely it isn't the firewall settings?

I mean, I had been able to load up and play the game fine yesterday.
Now, it just hangs the moment hackshield opens up after you hit "play game"

for me after i hit play game, the hack shield load bar on the top left appears & the NF pic appears in the center, however nth is happening...

After that the Nf patcher dissapears But the two boxes stay on my screen unless i restart my comp.

Pls help, response to tickets is pathetic & we only have two more event days...

Completely uninstall your game.

If you have an older version of the full client installer, just use that to reinstall.
Then manually download and apply the patch.

NF should be able to start. It worked for me.

Same problem here... I have windows XP SP3 with AVG and it worked ok until last patch. Now all I got is dark screen and that error msg after a while.

I allready uninstalled the game... downloaded the last version.. reinstalled... patched manually... nothing works

problem solved after re-starting PC
it worked on the 2nd attempt

same issue I reinstalled, patched, reset fire wall exceptions. and it starts up goes through most of the HS scan and boom error code 204

and I have no other applications running
