  • Italian sailors (stats from test server)

I see italian sailors are selectable on the test server, so here are some stats as of 13 December 2011: 
National advantage is +2 reload +2 fighter

Arm sailors      lvl 12: +7 acc  +9 reload
Gunners           lvl 22: +3 acc  +5 reload
Heavy Gunner  lvl 42: +2 acc  +4 reload
Huge Gunner   lvl 65: +2 acc  +3 reload
Chf Gunner      lvl 79: +2 acc  +3 reload


Support sailor  lvl 12: +8 eng  +8 rep  +8 rest

Repair
2nd Rep lvl 25: +4 rep
1st  Rep lvl 50: +3 rep
Chf  Rep lvl 65: +2 rep

Eng
2nd Eng lvl 30: +4 eng
1st Eng  lvl 54: +3 eng


These stats could be changed, but its looking like Italy will be the rapid fire BB nation, so maybe low power guns? and/or low range? like Andrea Doria.

They also get ace fighers, ace dive bombers, and torp bomb SQ.

There are no ships on the tree for the Bridge Officer yet, so don't get too excited.

Thoughts?

Would like to see them as a TW nation, cause in WW2 they had dedicated Torp boats with crews.

They need to not even think about Italians right now. The game needs a major graphics revamp as it is. The current system uses bitmap files which are quite large. Right now the game can use upwards of a gigabyte of ram to run and memory is poorly managed. If they were added it would push ram usage up well into the the 1 gig range and increase the lag issues and crashing problems some players have.

Time for a computer upgrade?
$20 dollar used computers come normally with 1+ Gig of Ram nowadays if you want to improve running NF.

They're solution to that is that mysterious thing called NF 3D that disappeared from all the known world. I think its been 4 years now since they announced it lol.

Edit, Just checked, NF Still can run on a PC with 256 megs of ram lol.

The computer I play on has no issues with low ram. You say you checked that NF will run with 256 mb. Yes the game will start with that low of ram but you cannot play. I have tried on a computer with a pentium 4 and 384 mb of ram and it was unplayable. My ram usage while running the game is at least 750 mb higher than with it closed and easily reaches 1.2 gb in a battle with a lot of different ship types.

New nations make money. Upgrades cost money. Those at the helm don't seem to have their long term looking glasses.

Hello 4 years ago :P For real though maybe these old old problems will be fixed in the updated game engine.
