  • How is the experience actually figured out

  1. I'm trying to figure out how the experience is calculated in the match.  And here's why!!!

  2. Now I can understand to BO taking an XP penalty.  All the rest of the sailors are the appropriate level for the KM/ Z99.  I could also understand if I have a horrible game and did nothing.   But....

  3. Couple points:
  • ALL my attacks were on ships CL and above
  • I got at least partial credit for sinking 2 of them
  • My accuracy shouldn't matter because I have had matches with over 50%, sinks, and over 20k attack and still got 2-3K xp

Now I know that the experience scales with your level, but I've had gotten 2K on a Beginners Frigate.
Please someone let me know the formulas for xp so I can stop getting frustrated.

P.S. On this same ship with this same crew, I have gotten over 5K on a match that didn't do well at.

Its kind of hard to explain in detail how much exp you will get in one battle, or how much should you get.
But in summary:

- Great Battle rooms give more exp than Blitz, while Blitz gives more credits than Great Battles.

- Auto FCS has 20%exp penalty, so its better to use Manual FCS (Aiming for Gun Ships)

- If you hit a Team Mate, you will get a considerable exp penalty.

- When you are low level, most of your exp comes from shared experience, which is the result of your team's total attack score.

- Since you have shared exp, then total number of players in the room is an important factor, the more players there are, the more total team attack... in result, more exp for you when they share it (you also share it with more people, but still you get more than playing with less people).

- All torpedo attacks go to shared exp, while some part of your gun attacks will go to personal exp.

- Ship level vs Sailor level. Its a big detailed table, but in summary of it, the closer your sailors are to the ships required level, more is the exp they will be able to get. If they are too low or too high, they will gain less.

Consider all those things and you might improve your exp gain. Just by looking at your picture, it seems you played in Blitz with Auto FCS or with Torps. I might be mistaken, but you haven't provided much information on your setup.

Well on FF, you can get max xp and is easier because it's a neut.
Sinking a ship counts for nothing.
I find torp attack to lower my XP gain.
CL and above - that is a question. CLs don't give much and if you did most attack to them then it won't count
for much.
Also we've had bonus events lately so you may be experiencing differences compared to that.

Seems like fairly good overall team attack. But to me, getting about 2-3K on DD seems about right.

In blitzkrieg, there seems to be more factors than a GB which would start usually with 20/8 so for me it's
hard to say. If the blitzkrieg has full cvs on both sides and some BBs and you do attack to CVs for instance,
I expect you to get a lot.
