There is no reason to have it. People dont want to be bothered. I get tired of all chat in the waiting room enough. Imagine the trade and recruit spam.

And to remind you there are plenty of ways to chat. Fleet, extended channels, whisper. Most fleets have voice chat which makes typing obsolete.

Unless you can come up with some riveting examples on why this would be necessary...

it would be nice to have separate chat channels for general, trade, ect and if people used it right then the general chat wouldnt get spammed with trade plus the mods could always mute/ban people for spam and while yes most people have a voice chat its still nice for the people that dont have mics or arent in a clan or dont want to be

First of all the mods shall do there work to help players not to be a police and sit in the all chat/trade chat and ban spamers.
If they put this in so all can see it even if you dont want it allot of players while stop play since they gonna be spamed all the time.
Then thats is theres choice not ours, in life you need to accept somethings you dont like and reject some others, so if you dont want to be in a fleet/clan then it's youre choice to not be a part of a "chatting system"

there are, there are hundreds of open channels to chat with folks and one designated open trade channel. Use them all the time within HA tile forces so fleet chat isnt cluttered.

isnt it an option to turn off fleet chat and etc on the chat menu? then add the global chat there so u can turn it off if u want

then what is the point of implementing it when the majority of people dont want it or if they do, they will more than likely turn it off when they get annoyed?

All the while an option for this already exists, and see how many people actually use it?
