  • IJN SS1 speed help

This is my first time playing SS and when i out for battle i realise that the SS speed is too slow 20/21(surface),
17/18(dive). How can i increase the speed? If this is the case i can't train with SS line as everytime i dive wanted to go to the enemy side the air
supply is gone as the speed is slow to go to the other side. Then i will take damage and kill by enemy. WTF...

thats the problem of all ss1, very slow but i don't think that it goes only 20/21

do you have correct engine ? ss engine I heavy
ghosting or skeletonize crew (BO, [torpers if it has lot of vet or its already capped])
put off armor if you put

or skip ss1 by playing tw or asw on simakaze cause

Yes. That is the speed i get. I'm using heavy engines. I ghost my BO and there is no armor. As you said can simakaze earn a good amount of exp? If yes then maybe i can skip ss1

Skip SS1, Every SS1 regardless of nation. Just forget they are even there. Use the CL to lvl past them.

They were made by some sub drivers ex-wife as a way to get back at him. I'm certain of it.

the only cl that is useable before the ss1 is the yubari and dhonburi (pcl), i think a dd can get a good xp just don't be sink too fast

I was in the same position as you. I ended up selling it and doing as was mentioned with leveling with the sima. When you do get to SS2 you can make it there and hit some ships. I would take the recommendation and skip SS1 for now and train on another ship.
