I have cv2 crew with hellcat fighters so I had hope this fighters will be good enough to kill someone, but no, all
all i can do is send them to death trying to scout or do nothing. they are killed in seconds by enemy fighters above enemy team
iif i want to shoot down someting I can keep them above my team and try to shoot incoming bombers but then my team will proably loose and call me a noob
I play BB too so I understand them cause I'm angry too when my cv not scouting, but what can I do be happy when me lvl70 fighters are food and i end
wining battle without any results.. this is stupid. cause in BB I have a chance to shoot and kill something when I was BB1 or BB2
and be usefull for my team, but i must pay for YorkTown 3mln credits and this is sucks. I had better results with CV1 and locals as a team defend and Rookie pilots to scout.
I have +12 fighters all premium with vets and experts. My only idea is put my BB scout locals but its still sucks if think about I must play as a dumb for next 30 levels to get my T4 fighters.
Today my 4 fighters was shoot down by one enemy fighter only one fighter shoot 4 Hellcats.
I can understand many thinks but it should be more balanced cause, in real battle 4 Hellcats can shoot down any single Fighter, maybe I should lost 1 or 2 fighters but no 4 withoiut result

First thing is first; There is not a lot that can be done about low level pilots. In an ideal world, we would have a huge player base so we can have mid level rooms. Unfortunately, we can't. We can't make the actual planes better, because then you have low level planes beating high level planes when they both have high level pilots on.

Currently, you three options:-

1) Try and work with another CV to help them dominate the enemies top CV; Numbers + Micromanagement can work wonders.

2) Try and avoid high level/tier fighters and get equal level/lower tier fighters.

3) Work on other roles, such as Anti Scout/Anti Bomber roles, or even scouting.

I ran into the same problem and I have to tell you, running Locals is not a bad option. If you do it well, you won't even get called noob, because locals can take down T4s with some luck. I stay about a ship length behind the BB line and try my best to create a "black hole" in the enemy vision. Yes, it's just glorified AA, but it works much better because you can send the locals out to anticipate incoming squadrons and deny vision for those crucial few seconds. Also, it makes tons of credits.

Alternatively, if you want fast XP and don't care what people think, just go nuts bombing!

i must do something probably i will put tons of bombers on my cv and some fighters to scout but i will run away from enemy fighters i will try to get some experience from bombing.
second option its put locals on my yorktown cv and wait when enemy fighters will try luck flying above me.
only disadvantages of running locals is own team AA ships often my whole fighter groups was shot down by team aa ships cause they can't see difference between own and enemy fighters and he get full exp even when he shoot down more own fighters then enemy planes

Locals are probably the best defensive weapon against incoming bombers and scouts That is what they should be used for.

The CV players using locals should be constantly scanning his zone for incoming planes and sweeping scouts. Going head-to-head against a squadron of T4s can be suicidal, but if you have enough planes onboard you're obligated to defend as best as possible, including running (mouse-dragging) your fighters along with the enemy's back to their territory.

Keep in mind a typical setup is where the fighters control your zone just prior to the bombers coming, so be aware of when the bombers are due in and launch and control your locals towards the bombers, avoiding the fighter coverage...as best you can anyway.

That's the problem with AA escorts. They fire at where the plane IS at that moment...Which is always behind it after the shell arrives... Which is exactly where your planes are at trying to shoot them down.

I wish you could load some locals and some other fighters cause a choice over T2 or locals isnt much of a choice when locals have maybe 10-15 seconds of fight in them before they are too low on fuel to make it back home

Honestly. The easiest way to do this is Micro-Manage. Just like what someone said up there it works its wonders. If you have trouble micro-managing hit me up a PM in Nebby server

He's right. Learn how to drag them or do like LJ suggested and try using them in a different role.

I have a Yorktown with lvl 73 fighters and I use locals a lot. With 2 fighter pilots, you can cycle 3 locals constantly. 3 are up and 3 are fueling. When the first 3 come down, you can launch the next 3. Makes for CAP or combat air patrol. You may then fuel your TB or DB and send them out. You will loose TB and DB to enemy interceptors but some will get thru eventually.

Another option is to launch your TB or DB with 3 wildcats...flying togather. If you meet interceptors, the enemy fighters tend to concentrate on your fighters first, giving you some time. Your fighters job is to sacrifice themselves so your bombers can get through. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Depends on the number and ability of the enemy interceptors. It pays to dive the bombers as sometimes the enemy fighters will lose sight of your bombers and you may get thru with some losses.

Many times the enemy will try to supress your aircraft by putting a flight of fighters over you. This is where the locals shine as the can take on higher lvl fighters bringing them down at 270 credits a pop. Just keep throwing them up in the air.

To be honest, I've done this both using locals and wildcats with a Boge (CV1) and it works. It worked with my Enterprise too.

They won't call you a noob for doing it this way......cause it works.

Don't worry about friendly AA bringing down your planes...in real life WW2 CV pilots had the same problem. They were trying to save their ships and risked friendly AA. Some were shot down.
