18" over 16" Range: (toward top of range in tier compared to monty being tied for worst) Lower Angels: 40 compared to 45 Faster Turning: (BB6s have ridiculous turn speeds) T slots: 14 T slots compared to 10. Allowing setups like 28x 3" 70s (ND), 28x 5" 38 Mark 38(NDA), 28x 5" 54 Cal Mark 16 (NDA), 28x 6" 47 Cal DP (NDA) 14 Total sailors over 13. Adequate plane space for 6x T5 Scouts over Montana's Max of 3x T5 scouts. Better spread over Montana Longer OH time due to Iowa Engine (233k BHP over 189k BHP) BB6 over BB5 Its quite honestly if not the best of the BB6s for both Offense and Defense. Higher Displacement, More extra space. Can fit 0.2",0.2",90,2 armor load out maintaining speed cap over Montana 0.2", 0.2", 0, 2. With 6 Engines and 4 Reps, it can Repair Cap. 6/3 on Montana cannot. More damage/shell. Doesn't need Montana salvos, just need well placed part salvos to do critical damage. Easier to play than Montana. (Too easy) Narrower Hitbox + turn speed, it can if your paying attention dodge ports that appear at least 4" away. Easier to get into range, salvo and turn out of range. Only outranged by a couple pixels over P24 and Kaiser compared to 1/4" to H44 without hitting like a pansy or having extremely long hang-time.
That being said, Montana does have the strong salvo of all the ships in the game. Only the Amagi and the IJN Subs come even close to the Montana. Being able to effectively one shot rushing ships with well placed salvos, the Montana can hold off 5+ BBs while running. The Nebby can hold the line and keep ships from ever getting into range.
Personally I like Montana > Nebby, why? It takes more skill to drive and unless your warming up for an HA, a BB6 in a GB is depressing since you can do the same with the BB5s. You can even overpower and own a BB6 with a BB5 quite easily.
