The only advantage I need over a Baltimore in my Pensa is dual 14" guns and 47-49 knots = BAMBOOM!

The point you are missing is the point that makes the pensacolla superior. The R mounts are comprable to the guam's.

Also what if said player does not have a bo for the baltimore but one for cv, ss, or nevada line. Also the t mounts are much nicer.

Handles the 3x12 mark 8 Ls better than the alaska. One extra support slot, faster, and has more submergence (takes less damage per shell).

Overall quite superior. In my mind its even superior to the alaska.

Pensacola are freaking awesome and look sexy. 14"Ds + Good Engis = Run and Gun = Lolz

One advantage I would point out is...
... when you reach level61+ (or when one graduates from blitz)
...imagine being food as a BB(1) (or even in a PBB)
...and the long wait times for a battle room (if one does use a BB)

... IMO the Balti's T-slot doesnt cut it for AA whoring in GB
... less support slot vs Pensa
... you can have another sailor manning Pensa's BO slot (like a Rep or some other), levelling your gunners above (and perhaps, beyond) your BO's current level...

IMHO the Pensa is a good investment overall
