  • Laughable Different Nation Guide to NF

Elliot2lazy
This is a guide from a player on the Kaiser server about different nations. The name will not be disclosed,
however this came from a fleet that just started recently, and that player came from a fleet that was quite large
and accepted this guide for regular usage. For the non-noobs reading from Nebraska, this is what us Kaiser
players have to put up with.

 Thoughts?

"This is a guide to Nations in NF. Whats good and whats bad
U know the nations
US/UK/IJN/KM/MN/SN

And some of yall have played for years like i have(3 to 4yrs) but havent known whats good and whats bad for nations.

I have US/KM/IJN

But let me tell u something(info down below)

Lets get started:

Ok so if your looking for Good ranged BB's i perfer
KM,IJN,SN

If your looking for Decent ranged BB's then i perfer
US/UK/MN

If your looking for good ranged bb's but okay power i perfer
KM
If your looking for good ranged bb's but great power i perfer
IJN/SN

If your looking for decent ranged bb's but great power i perfer
US/UK/MN

For Tier 6 Battleships(this is the list of bb6's u could have but whats good?

Nebraska- 2nd longest ranged BB6 and the Most Powerful

QueenVictoria- Short Ranged BB6 but has insane capability for accuracy and power(QV is a *** she packs a punch)

Kaiser- Longest Ranged BB6 in the game(But hits like a ***** girl xD)

Amagi- 3rd longest ranged BB6(Bad thing about this BB is that it has a ridiculous hang time like 6-7 seconds.)

Project 24(Has a tiny less range of the Nebby)

Charlemange(Decent ranged BB6 people say its the lowest ranged BB6 but not all true. QV can barley range this ship. but bad thing is its the spread of the fronts. 3 quads)

Onto CV's
Each nation is different like battleships for each nation but the way cv's are split by nation is how good there bombers or fighters are. But also, its split between fighterwhore/Bomberwhore/torperwhore

So if your wanting to be a fighterwhore CV then i perfer these nations
US/IJN/KM
But if your wanting to be a bomberwhore CV then i perfer these nations
MN/SN
But if your wanting to be a torperwhore CV then i perfer these nations
IJN/UK

Now u may ask why isnt UK Listed as Fighterwhore or bomberwhore? Well its just cause both there bombers and fighters just ******. But UK has pretty good torpbombers Very Happy

Now finally submarines.

All subs are all about planesman/torpers/sonarman and so on.

But the only nations i even recommend for Subs is
US/IJN/KM

US is only good when its high lvl like say SS3 and above
IJN Is good all the way (:
KM has great power and reload time, but really only affective at SS3 lvl and above

My next guide will be ship/crew setups and how much vets u should have on your sailors.

Hope this guide to nations has really helped!"

it's a common sense which one player does not represent the whole server. if u dont mention who wrote this, then what's the opint of posting it up. just trying to get some trolls here?

Common sense is no longer common these days, HYZ.

The fact that he has IJN as a good FW nation is laughable.....lol

Id take MN over IJN anyday. (When talking about T4s)

Well by technical forum rules, not allowed to mention names or thread will be locked/binned. I'd rather keep it up and laugh at it, than have it taken away. However, I will say this is on their website in public viewing. Therefore, if you search for it you will probably find it.

This one may or may not be more laughable. This player tries to put their input on what he/she thinks is good for trading in NF.

"disclaimer: I am not responsible for any loss of credit. All decisions to purchase sailors are your own.

1. Buy low, sell high
-classic rule. Buy when people put things on trade, and sell them at prices that someone who is really desperate would consider. For example, if I find a lvl 80 usn bve +12 FP for 10m, I may sell it for 38m for a 28m profit. Check the trade tab often to see if any new sales have appeared.

2. ALWAYS check base before making a purchase that consumes more than 10m. Pay attention to Boosts, Vets, and Experts

3. Be at least 95% sure you can sell for at least a 20% higher price before buying. I usually shoot for around 50-100% profit

4. Avoid buying certain no-sell items, which include:
-USN AA Gunners (useless as USN aa is done by rld gunners)
-IJN Pilots of any kind (too little demand, too much supply)
-KM FP, TB (too little demand, too much supply)
-UK DB (useless as UK TB are superior)
-*Restorers of any nation (sometimes, these make great items to flip. For example, once i bought a lvl 70 ebve KM rep for 8m, and resold for 30m. It all depends on the timing. This was done shortly after ss3 came out).
-USN/KM Gunners that were previously torpmen (you can tell by their stats)
-Unmatched pairs of gunners (if the stats are not equivalent)
-Unmatched torpmen
-Lone gunner/torpman
-Pilots (fp or bomber) that were classed from scout late. (you can tell by look at the stats. A real FP will have a much higher Fighter ability than bomber ability. A FP recently classed from scout will have FP and Bomber abilities very near to each other)
-Level 12s (these take forever to sell)

5. Look for high demand items like:
-Mid-High level USN Engineers
-USN Fighters
-UK TBs
-anything above lvl 115 (BB supports especially)
-IJN, KM Torpmen
-High level scouts
-Pair EBVE Gunners (cheaply priced)
-High level IJN AA gunners
-Fighter and aircraft based seamen

6. Pay attention to any events going on. This may spur impulse purchases. For example, if you know there is an expert % increase event, buy IJN, KM, UK AA gunners and sell for a much higher price during the event.

7. Don't have outrageous prices. Set them high, but be sure to keep them in the item's price range.

I've made over 2 billion using the trade system, but I've also lost a lot making stupid mistakes. Right now, I only have around 150-200M cause I've spent a lot of credits on my own crews. But don't be discouraged. Not too long ago when the trade system came out, I only had 2M. Within a week, I changed that 2M into 25M. Now, I can make hundreds of millions just through a few trades."

Couldn't stand all those slang terms, I mean come on! I can accept that people that has English as a second language make mistakes like those and even worse, but I bet this isn't the case for this user.

Nevertheless, this is not what actually bothered me about this so called "guide", How the hell does one list IJN as a "Good range nation"? Besides

[Quote ends]
This section was plain confusing.
Probably the only good thing about it is that the intention was good and he/she actually meant to help other players, just that he sucks at it :/

P.S: I apologize for any mistake made, English is not my first language, therefore it gets crappy some times.

Elliot, this is pathetic.
Your guide to cv is downright WRONG.

FW:
US>KM>MN=IJN>SN>UK
(UK needs a buffstick)

BW: Not just about bomb damage, it's about the aircraft's abilities:

UK: Fastest bombers, most health, sacrifices damage for the ability to go through a wall of KM flak.

USN: 2nd Fastest bombers, small sacrifice of speed and health to increase bomb damage.

MN: Balanced nation of speed, damage, and health. IMHO one of the best choices.

IJN: IJN DBs sacrifice health for bomb damage, they are just a tiny bit slower than MN, but have more bomb power.

SN: The Commies sacrifice anything even related to speed for massive bomb damage, these bombers will not outrun even a T1 scout, but if you manage to get a wing through, a wing of 10 will cripple a BB5.

(Not my area of expertise.)
TBW: Once again, all about playstyle. look on the site's components area and look at aircraft, and find each nation's TBs, then compare DP, speed, and torpedo damage. Then choose based on your taste.

(Once again, I'm not exactly a sub person)
Submarines:
USN: Balanced Anti-BB anti-Sub
UK: Balanced Anti-BB anti-sub, leaning toward Anti-BB
IJN: Best nation in NF if you wanna own BB's with your sub, ijn ss4 fires 8 torps out it's front.
MN: Very good defensive subs, lack of air means your job is mostly going to be protecting your BB's.
SN: Very good sub hunting nation, it's torpedoes explode at close range, giving you the advantage in an SS vs SS fight.
KM: Very good sub hunting nation, it's proxy torps mean you don't need to put too much effort into aiming.

Having used IJN, MN, KM (all from friends) and UK (my own) TBW, I'd say IJN is the easiest to use. I'm yet to use USN and SN though. I've started my USN TBW already though, so this opinion may change.

I noticed (by pure experience, I could be wrong, but then again this is what I felt when I used them) that I can bomb with them closer without worrying much about the dudding range. What I mean is, I think the dudding range of IJN is the least.

UK TBs are still the best tho, they're pretty much invisible (and I can demolish BB5s in one 20TB run) xD
