  • Ise or Fuso?

In comparing the Ise and the Fuso BB2's the only difference I found was the Ise having a better engine and FCS. And it's ability to remodel to the CV hybrid later on. What's the pros and cons of each ship?

Ise:
- Can demodel into a CV hybrid.
- Has a bit better gun placement for running (2 front 4 back)
- T slots are close to each other (still bad because it has only 2 guns but at least they are bunched up).

Fuso:
- A bit more DP
- Better gun placement for rushing.(3x3)
- T slots are FAR apart and have odd coverage. (terrible if you want to use AA but still good enough for HH

Basically if you want the remod than take the Ise.
If you just want to play a BB the way BBs should be played then take the Fuso.

If you dont have the pilots then go Fuso. If you do then Ise could be an interesting choice.

If you choose the Fuso then play it ninja style. It has awesome power (12 shells that really hurt) and if you play well you could have some very nice games with it. I choosed the Fuso because of the better gun placement and i really enjoyed it. It is very similar to Hyuga.

If you go Ise then you will need to sit back and play more like a cv than a bb. I havent tried this one out yet (not planning to) so i cant give much of advice.

I have the Ise and it is awesome. I had pilots at the time and even playing as a bb support cv it was fun. now I dont have the pilots and still play it sometimes with the 16" on and it really is good. I push in hard and then turn away and let the shells rain. I have the hyuga and it the same play style. Ise can also be useful for HA. I havent played one but i have heard that the ise, mogami, can be nice for HA due to them not takeing cv space. Basically if you have the pilots go ise if you dont go fuso, Both are good and only have minor differences, unless you remod.

Sounds like I'll be going Fuso, I prefer rushing in there, and it sounds like the more traditional BB. Thanks for all the comments.

well now .. how about we visit the cv hybrid aspect for a moment ...

upon remodeling the 6x turrent ise becomes a 4x turrent ise ... which is still pretty good for a BB2 hull ..
and is more than sufficent to pick off most rush noob blitz-banzai types and to snipe enemy asw efforts

where it begins to get interesting is that the aa t slots increase from 4x (2x per side) to 8x (4x per side) ..
so it becomes a much more effective ijn AA battery in a support role as a BB2 .. and AA = EXPERT GAIN

and that funky 1/2 deck 'cv' part ... allows you to not only level your ijn pilots but actually use them in support
provide your own Fighter Cover from enemy bombers by launching fighters umbrella over your local BB line
use TB or DB's to both cripple the enemy and to provide sight to your BB line .. speaking of providing sight
you can even load a huge batch of scouts ... be a hero and light up your side for your bigger BB's to work ...
it is a BB2 support role battle ship AND a small cv with big guns after all - use it ...

and if your are a TW .. this is your BB .. (your kita kaptain 'graduates' to this on his way up the yamato line)
its like a kita just only with with one less launcher per side .. and BB guns instead of pop-shooters on bow

==============================

PS -

sidenote: ... the ISE had a siter ship = the HYUGA ... they used that for the IJN EBB3 .. it ROCKS ....

I currently have a Kuma and a Mogami (Which will be the BB). The Torpedo part of the Ise interest me. I don't have any IJN aircraft (and don't plan on it), so I'm most likely going to get a Fuso. I really wish I got a Hyuga from the winter event, but I got a Maryland instead (for a subpar US crew). Hopefully there will be a Event ship event sometime this summer.
