Hey guys,

Another week, another round of questions, concerns and suggestions answered by our team in Korea. (List available in 1st reply)

As before, I'll go ahead and leave this open for adding more questions or expanding the answers as necessary. So, have at it, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Issue 1: Removal of Hobbit Wars - normpearii
It does nothing good for blitz. At least remove it from being the default map.
Change it so it uses a version of No Way Out, with the spawns moved closer to the middle. Preferably called No Way out 3

Answer 1: We will ask our devs to change the default blitz map. However, we are not certain if we can change the spawns of No Way Out.

Issue 2: Initial crew selection for new accounts - normpearii
When a new account is setup, first thing to pop up when they first enter the neutral harbor: A window allowing them to pick 1 of 3 base crews these will allow new players to effectively start a CV Crew, BB Crew, or SS Crew.

These crews would be crews of 18 for BB, 14 for CV and 11 for SS

CV:
4x Pots (Stats Pot 14, rest 10) (1 named BO, rest named Potential
6x Fighters (All non-Plane stats=9, 10 Aircraft, 12 Fighter, 10 Bomber)
4x Bombers (All non-Plane stats=9, 10 Aircraft, 10 Fighter, 12 Bomber)

BB:
2x Pots (Stats Pot 14, rest 10)(Both named Bridge Operator)
2x Gunners (Stats 12 acc, 11 rld, rest 9)
2x AA Gunners (Stats 11 Acc 12 rld, 11 AAW (In-case of future AAW attempt to be fixed) Rest 9)
5x Repair (12 Repair stat, 11 restore, Rest 9)
5x Engineer (11 Repair, 11 Restore, 12 Engineer)
1x Scout (All non-Plane stats=9, 12 Aircraft, 10 Fighter/Bomber)

SS:
1x BO (Stats Pot 14, rest 10)(Named Bridge Operator)
2x Pot (Stats Pot 15, rep and Restore 10, rest 9)
3x Engineer (11 Rep, 11 Restore, 12 Engine, rest 9)
3x Repair (12 Rep, 11 Restore, rest 9)
2x Pilots (all plane stats 11, rest 9)

These changes would be to improve new player experience to hopefully make them try the game longer

Answer 2: We would need to take some time planning on how to provide new players choices after the basic training mission. This will be discussed, but will likely not be able to be considered until after we completely resolve the Windows 7 issues and complete the New HA patches along with other patches such as the achievement system.

Issue 3: Tutorials Section with new in-game accessible Tutorials - normpearii
New vet player created IN-GAME via Harbor accessible Tutorials. Would be written in a contested and voted by the current community for accuracy and value. Major ones built into the game.
New Tutorial section of the forum. Tutorials would no longer go in National Forums and Tips and Tactics but into Tutorials Forum with Sub-forms for Each nation. Tutorials Forum would have a "Recommended" option that adds when clicked. Top 10 Tutorials in each sub-forum based on number of "Recommendations per IP" would be sticked automatically.

Answer 3: We love this idea also and will start planning on this. With your help we can see this being successfully implemented.

Issue 4: More community requested polls. - Various

Answer 4: Let us know your questions on this and we will work on this.

Issue 5: Updates on Win 7 patch, New HA, Italy - Various

Answer 5: Windows 7 patch- Was held up recently but the issue has since been resolved which has allowed work to continue. Patch should come into fruition in April. There will be multiple patches under this project heading.

New HA- ETA is still too early to be truthfully certain. Once the Windows 7 patch has begun patching we should have a better ability to provide more details.

Italy - March for certain. However, we may still make changes to balance if necessary after the live server patch.

Issue 6: Battle Area Cluster Idea - Spagz
A solution I mentioned a couple years ago: If SDE has the resources then cluster (tie-in) the two servers battle area. For example, all players ships and sailors remain on their respective "home" server, but the battle area is tied in. Therefore players from both servers play in the same battle area map resulting in more games. During events, once a server capacity is reached the overflow can be redirected to another battlemap server. This would alleviate the need for the GMs and techs to actually transfer accounts and cluttering up the current database holding the players info data. It would be no different from WoW, Rift, Aion, Warhammer, Dark Age of Camelot, SW:Tor...etc..etc and so on.. who use "Instances" for PvP arenas.

The only thing is that every time a player leaves their harbor, it would be a short load time as they are directed to the battle area on the tie-in. However, I would assume most people wouldnt mind a short loading wait if it resulted in a higher rate of accessible games running which would mean more fun, quicker game starts and more exp gained overall not having to wait 9 to 10 mins to fill the room with the necessary ship classes to start.

Answer 6: We (GMs) really want to see this also. Our devs are also aware that we should put this system into effect. The great concern at this time has to do with available developer resources. We (GMs) will continue to push for this to be worked on.

Issue 7: Change Fleet Penalty - Plazmadj
New members to any fleet should have a 10-day penalty, where they are unable to participate in any HA battles during those 10 days. With this idea, the actual fleet penalty for leaving a fleet could be completely removed, or at least lowered to only a few days while still helping to fight against "mercing".

Answer 7: This plan will be discussed. If there is enough positive support for this we will seriously consider updating to this method.

Issue 8: Alter the GB BB/CV ratio - Darkaiser
Reducing the number of max CV to reduce wait times.

Answer 8: Our devs have already been contacted to do this. We are also taking further measures to help promote CV play.

Issue 9: Add some pizzazz to ship buying - Ziro820
Grinding to earn new ships is anticlimactic. Add an animation, pop up, or at least a special sound effect for the first time a ship is earned either once the ship is bought or once your ship tree is updated.

Answer 9: At the moment not a priority, but we agree that it would be nice to see.

Issue 10: Have lines of fire change green to red to indicate crossing. - Miet_

Answer 10: As with the penalty change. This could be do-able if there is enough positive support of the idea.

Issue 11: Mobile payment or new non-credit payment - Various

Answer 11: We strongly wish to provide a convenient option for players without access to credit cards. We will be researching or potential partners regarding this.

Issue 12: Hot Key for Max speed/ Overheat Limiter - Championhilz & JF01
Add a function that allow us to increase the speed until the limit without entering overheat speed and then, when in overheat, to decrease until the normal speed. Let's say I double tap the F key and the ship goes to max normal speed,

Disappointing... Randy tries but... All questions except the last about lag weren't answered really. They were either bull**** answers or political beat around the bush answers. The only reason the one about lag was answered so well is because at least 90% of the people playing the game are complaining about it.

Providing new players with 12/11/11 crew is insane.

Ill take 12/11/11 supports/gunners over elite sailors ANY DAY of the week....

To give them for free is crazy. 11/11 or 11/10/9 or if u want to go +12, make it 12/10 gunners and 12/9/9....


I have a question.

Is there any talk or possibility of getting an EXP boost to normal rooms to bring back CA/BB12, BB123 and other Normal room types? Or at least making a "Select" Style type room for these lower Tiered ships? Like "BB12", BB123". ?

Below is my reasoning for the question.

These tier of ships do not have a chance in GBs, and are easily owned by BB456, which is fine since it is a level based/tier game. However in the old days of All Welcomes, Most of the boats were BB456. The 1,2,3's didnt join because they couldnt compete. They still cannot compete in GB. I also have some more possible ideas with Normal rooms and or Select rooms. But this is my main question

For the "sounds good we'll continue to work on them", I've been specifically asked to start planning out the tutorial suggestion made so we can implement it since we are in great favor of it and want to see it put in place. I'll contact some of the vet players for support on this.

For the "with enough support we will seriously consider this..." I'll make polls for these suggestions so we can act on it.

For the "sounds good we'll continue to work on them", I've been specifically asked to start planning out the tutorial suggestion made so we can implement it since we are in great favor of it and want to see it put in place. I'll contact some of the vet players for support on this.

Sounds a lot better Randy, Thank you. no longer disappointed since grey areas were quickly cleared up.
