Are you supposed to class UK fighters to ACE fighters on time?

I did. But unless there elite or are packed with vets there total rubbish. I tend not to put the seafighters(or watever there called) I put the gladiators for sight and pack my ship with TB and DB and go for offense and sight (TB being the best for UK cv)

(I have a UK cv4)

I classed mine on-time. But then, I had a lot of veteran and expert packs to slap onto the pilots. Currently, all 6 FPs on my carrier have been BVE'd.

I only have two TBs for opportunistic strikes.

I.e. I'm facing off against BWs and the fighters ate most of their planes. Or I'm squaring off against lower-level pilots and I have the chance to load a wave or so of TBs to take out an enemy flat-top or battlewagon.

Or the very annoying AA ships. :D

(I use UK CV 5)

Only leave them as fighter if you plan on having more then 180-190 vets. Otherwise there is little benefit to leaving them as fighter only.
