Maybe it is Ok to do it under BBs because at least that BB has a chance to fight back. But I feel it is kind of abusing the flaw of games to allow ss surface under a CV, especially those small ones without guns.

Thats why i use TBs. Any time it happens, i kill myself and the sub at the same time. Makes for a good laugh.
you can DB stuff parked under you. It makes me giggle when a sub pops up under my parked CV, and i let bombers loose, and he thinks i wont bomb him cause ill hit myself (haha), yet i just bomb him. (Your own "shells" never hit you.")

Because that is the best solution for a CV against subs?
Definatley, its the most effective if you know how to bomb a small target. 2 Bombs will cripple an SS4, 3 for an SS5.

ever here on using a sonarman so u can see the sub comming and move awayor go one better and put hh and sonarman on and kill the ss
