  • Classing up Support Crew

My Engys and Reps just reached the lvl to be classed as 1st rep/eng instead of 2nd. my question is shoulld i class them into 1st because it lowers their other support growth rate by a lot, and only boosts their main stat a little. should i class them or do i leave them 2nd?

You sound like the type of person who doesn't know anything about delayed crews, so just class it tout de suite.

OP asked for advice whether or not he should class his Engies to 1st. I replied YES, because since he is asking this question, I assume he doesn't know about delayed crews.

You on the other hand, did NOT respond to OP's question at all, but instead passed an overstated judgment about my response. So, who's the one who should leave the forum?

@OP: Delayed crews are hard to explain; I am sure someone more qualified than I will answer your question.

I guess you are a new player here so welcome.

What you need to do is class them on time. there is no point for you to start messing around your crew and try to delay class them as it might turn to a boumerang for you and end up with sailors that are useless.

As you said their other abilities will drop. Thats why you have specialised sailors in their respective jobs. First repairers (you need around 3 of those) are enough to repair your ship fast . The increase in the repair ability it will help them to repairer faster.

Same with engs (around 5) they will help with your speed and overheat.

Restorers are generaly useless on bbs. So avoid them.

Hope this helps.

For trying to outsmart the classing.

You should have at least:
Basic Mathematic
Differential equation
Wasting time at trying and error just to make sure your math is not a failure.
Rolling GOOD crew and not some random one. (that means rolled sailors that outperform even Ellites!!! like 11/11/11 supprt 11/12 12/11 ,etc.)

But yea, class on time. Don't bother delaying crew.

Edited.

I've seen some people play with their engineers but there is no benefit to doing it with repairers because the only useable stat lost is restore.  Keep in mind that crew growth also increases with classing.

And slasher, I'm with Eufo, you're the one being a hypocrite.
