  • Why is reynauld/MN as a whole played so little?

I starting playing MN today because i got lucky and got a lot of elite sailor drops from event and noticed that no one ever plays MN and Reynauld is rarer than the other event CLs, anyone know why?

its because mn suck at the moment,
lowest range of all nation,
they don't have good spread,
and reynaud as of the moment is too expensive for other to buy, 300k :D

It is because very few new players can afford to buy it. It is too expensive for a newbie.
And as you manage to save up enough credits you usually have access to higher tier ships.

yep agreed, its a rich man ECL same as SN ECL ROFL, i didn't even notice the price when it was release, i just notice it last month or last may :D

but its worth as all around ship,

as combat ship in blitz, mounted by 5.46", if your gunners is lvl 49 it can mount 3.9", its kinda fun, getting 30-40k :D,

as aa, same as emden(but it beats reynaud in aaing) with 3.5" and high level gunners its a sniping aa :D our aa damage is weak though -.-

as asw, with pHH and sonar it can be effective one

I play the reynauld after the mogador and it is fine ship
you can put 8 dobles 6.1 in there and they are quite a punch in blitz.
put some armor and loose any torpedo and sailor and is quite a fun to ride you can kill dds and cls easy and even cause great damage to ca if close enough

300k is nothing, if you play a cv you got loads of creds.
And if you merchant (make use of prices, buy low sell high(er))

MN isnt a worse nation:

- Best DB,
- Good subs (pretty nice torp setup, ss 1-4 6 front 2 rear)

Sorry for the bump on this thread but I have been playing MN of late since I opted to start a new MN line and I have to say, the Reynauld is a nice arse boat in Blitz mounting the the dual 5.46s.

Agreed that gunwise that thing gives a run for its money to emerald as the best kick a** broadside. Much better than the emden at it.

AA wise, the 3.5 are somewhat weak at level, and without a good spread and reload, killing a single T4 fighter can be quite frustrating.

I've leveled a pair of AA gunners on my AD however, and at lvl 65 I get quite nice performance out of them.

At now lvl 43 (since there is a class issue that prevent it from getting access without the heavy gunner class even tough they are lower level. Thats suppose to get fixed soon however) you can mount the 3.9 for some quite good DPS at surprising range.
