I have USN fighter pilots (elite) at lvl 60. I know theres no ablilty cap but is it worth it toi boost them or not

Definitely. Boosting any sailor gives it an immediate and permanent 20% ability boost that works retroactively (you don't need to boost it at level 1)

This was my response to your post on the US forum:

 

There IS an ability cap. It's just that nobody knows its exact amount.

What is more important than boosting is the decision of getting lots of vets on your fighters (at least 150). Are you ready to pay for that? If not, save yourself the boosts, too.

You can boost your fighters anytime, there is no difference to their ability if you do it early on or later.

At the moment, as your fighters are T2, you will not notice them becoming stronger. Unfortunately, they are still food for everybody else, and no boost will change that.

This is incorrect advice.

Boosting has no beneficial effect on T2 fighters, they get eaten just as quickly as before. OP needs to ask himself "am I prepared to spend lots of money for vets?", level the fighters to at least T3 and put on one or two seamen (with lots of vets as well) - ONLY THEN a boost makes a difference.

Don't make the poor guy spend money for nothing.
