So, im playing as the soviet navy at lvl 32. I was gunning for the lvl 34 cl, but then i realized, i might like to play as cv for a while. So, if i were to choose the lvl 34 ship, i would only be able to do SS and CL CA and BB? Or once i get fairly far in the CL CA, BB can i go back, reaserch the first ship in the CV class and work my way up that side of the tree with the same BO?

You can only go down 1 line.

So you have to choose between them.

You can only choose 1 path on the shiptree with a BO.

 

Switching lines involves a lot more than just  the BO. You'll need the crew for the CV also (pilots), so switching wouldn't be easy anyways.

you can buy a BO reset from the NF store if you find you want to switch lines.

 

however if you switched from BB/SS to CV you would need less supports and more fly boys, which you can find on the trade tabe in game or level new ones. but if you level new ones mayas well just start all over with a new BO.
