General Rules:-

http://www.opennavyfield.com/smf/index.php?page=9

(Note, the General Rules may be updated in the run up to the event pending discussions. In particular room timings).

Signup's Close on the 22nd April

For teams with more than 1 team, Rosters will be required. Currently, second teams will only be allowed if there are more than 10 fleets competing.

Same fleet teams will be scheduled to play at the same time where possible (referee dependant).

Matches may be pushed back at the co-ordinators decision due to lack of referee's, crashes, desyncs or extra time.
--------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE:-

http://onf.challonge.com/bb6highlander

There have also been a few clarifications in the rules. The timings for the rounds have been approximated, I will be scheduling the matches soon.

Ship and Loadout Limits:-

Only 1 of each nation allowed. BB6 Only. Maximum 5 BB6's.

No T5 scouts.

No Smoke

No Mines

No RM BB6

Format:-

Single Elimination, partly seeded.

Result Determination & Time Limit:-

1 point per sunk ship.

Win = Total Annihilation or 2 or more points ahead at the end of the match (Time Limit).

Time limit and within 1 points between the two teams. This results in "Extra Time"

Time Limit:-

20 minutes

Extra Time:-

5 minutes extra. The first team to go 2 ship sinks ahead wins.

If at the end of the 5 minutes, no team is 2 ship sinks ahead, then the team with the most ship sinks wins. If they are even, then 5 minutes extra will be applied, and sudden death will be applied; The next ship sink wins.

Penalties:-

When a single player breaks a rule, a penalty will be incurred. A second rule breakage by the same player and can be identified, then they will be asked to retreat. Refusal will cause them to be disconnected from the server with no further penalty to the team. If a TNF member is unavailable to do this, then further points penalties will be applied until the end of the match for each breach. Points will only be applied for a 2nd time if a disconnect is unavailable, or if a retreat is not complied with. If a retreat is not complied with, that player will be banned from future competitions.

Mine usage:- 1 point penalty if in the first minute, 2 thereafter.

Smoke Usage:- 1 Point Penalty if in the first minute,  2 thereafter.

T5 scout Usage:- 1 point Penalty if in the first minute, 2 thereafter.

Date & Time:-

First Round:- Sunday 29th April - 4pm UTC.

Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals will be on Sunday 6th May, starting at 4pm UTC.

The Finals may be pushed back to a further weekend if there is a lack of referee's and/or significant desync/crash issues.

Prizes:-

1st place team - 150 olives per player

2nd place team - 100 olives per player

3rd place - 50 olives per player

Recordings:-

All matches will be recorded and released on the ONF Youtube Channel/ONF Spideroak Box where possible. Releases will be made as soon as the video is finished; All team chat will be removed, however, videos will be released mid season. This will prevent accusations of people telling others tactics, and also means you will have to take this into account in your own tactics.

Seedings:-

Seedings are in 4 groups:-

a) Teams that took part in the league, sorted by position.

b) B Teams for teams that took part in the league, sorted by position in reverse order (Highest placed is seeded lower; This means that teams from the same fleet are on seperate sides of the bracket).

c) Teams that did not take part in the league, sorted randomly

d) B teams of teams that did not take part in the league, sorted randomly

Exploiting/Rules abusing:-

Any teams found to be abusing these rules or conspiring against the integrity of the league, will be swiftly removed from it. We sign up for fair play, not cheating/exploiting/hacking. These rules are subject to change upon agreement of the referee team and the co-ordinator of the event, in the interest of fair play for everyone.

1. Sounds fun, wish I was on Nebraska.

2. Why is RM BB6 not allowed? I have yet to see how it is in gameplay etc. How are the stats on it etc, and is it an OP BB6 compared to the rest of the BB6's?

3. How many refs will u need?

4. 5 AW QV RUSH FEASTIVAL???

The RM BB6; I would rather there not be huge amounts of problems with it. Its more of a ban so that there aren't problems. Italy as a nation needs to be fixed and itterated further, and it wouldn't be fair on the participants if it would be allowed.

You can't have 5 AW QV's, because its only one ship per nation :)

Referee wise; As many as we can get. I really hope TNF can help with this, otherwise it will be a very slow tournament and likely split over two weekends.

better change to 2 BBs max in a nation.

not sure how many small fleets want to play, but i believe this will be hard to get 5 BBs with all differnt nations.

Then it wouldn't be a highlander fleet war. I want this fleet war to be mainly about player skill, rather than who can field the most of one ship.

Its pretty easy to get to 120 nowadays, especially after the latest exp event.

I don't think it will be a problem finding 5 BB6 players with different ships for the fleets who can participate in this. Sure, the MN and SN ones are a bit rarer, but you only need one of those (As you can then run US, KM, UK and IJN).
