I got bored and took some numbers from NF calc to see just how much true ability difference there is between leaving your pilots at the fighter class to gain more sailors, or classing up to SQ. this has prolly been done to death. but here it is.
its (4V + E)*ability = TA.
boosted fighter base 12 @120 with max vets:
crew = 650; ability = 3612; Maxvets = 260; Experts = 390
(4*260 + 390)3612
(1040+390)*3612
1430*3612 = 5 165 160
boosted SQ base 12 @ 120 with max vets:
crew = 545; ability = 3942; maxvets = 218; experts = 327
(4*218+327)*3942
(872+327)*3942
1199*3942 = 4 726 458
5 165 160 - 4 726 458 = 438 702 True ability.
the difference assuming both have 100 vets and max experts is just over 100k true ability. it would take A LOT of cash to Vet to 260 and only for 400k TA advantage. of caorse its about a 1.8 M true aability advantage if the other guy doesnt vet. so vetting is huge and SQ should be nuked from out of the classing list. and Ace as well should be nuked.
This is menial in the end however as Kite wins.
lvl 100 kite > lvl 120 fight! but if you have slow planes ur pwned. you must be uber overvets no ace no sq.
unless of coarse theres a cap......................................................................
