  • Proof means nothing to NF

Ok they say with screen shots you can recover or prove your statements on player conduct. Not TRUE. I submitted ticket with proof of scammer was told not responciable for loans, I beg to differ. A verbal contract between players is just like barter or trade," A legal contract", Should be covered. Matter of fact, the  barter system is how trade began. I can live without my elite gunners but can nf survive not supporting loyal customers...... 7 years.

this has been a on going issue for years, GMs cant be bothered by trades and loans is why in the trade room it states trade at your own risk

I agree the policy needs to be changed, but I would suggest that if you have something to sell you put it in the trade tab, and not in a room, at least your protected knowing that the money and saliors will change hands at the same time

its not a perfect world and dishonest ppl will alway be dishonest, all you can do is spread the word on said scammer so others are not taken in by him

First of all I'm sorry for you lost.
But this can't be fixed by the TNF. In this case, they can't track down you sailors; they might have been sold to other players and there is no way to get them back. Besides, they can't tell if the screenshot is authentic or you are just trying to pull a scam on them.

Said it many times, dont loan things you cannot afford to lose.  If you choose to loan something to another player that is done at your own risk.

However TNF had always said as long as screenshots were taken showing it was just a loan etc then they could be recovered... TNF turn more often than a snake that is ready to attack...

Sympathy = yes.

There is a lot of trading and lending within our fleet.  When I give anything out, I know I'm taking a risk and it would be difficult to prove any wrong doing.

I suppose I could even scroll around and conveniently screenshot the part of the conversation that supports my point of view.

Just don't do it ~ and if you do ~ know you are taking a risk.

Without saying needless insults, I always thought TNF/SDE would return loans as long as screenshots were provided and evidence.

Regarding the case in question; Absolutely no idea because i've not seen screenshots in this case.

To be honest, I understand an at users risk policy, because it makes life easier for the majority of the community and free's up TNF to do other work.

Let fleets police it; if loans are stolen, that player gets kicked and the community then knows he's a thief.

Yes I also can not judge this personal case, but I always believed that as long as you had some sort of statement, alongside with a screenshot then TNF would help... I mean what would be the point of (look below) if they were not getting involved??

Now correct me if im wrong but that states the reasons TNF will not recover crew is password sharing or account trading... and that because they do not want people to get scammed they advise you to take screenshots (how is a screenshot preventing scamming if the GMs decide it is a little bit too much work for them, monitoring their own game?)

Vick way to go with your post in this section again showing that not 2 TNF members follow the rules in the same way... :)

So vick, or randy, please could we have clarification on trades, where there is a written contract and screenshots? If you guys are deciding to be complete wasters and do not want to spend any time resolving issues with scammers, how about a little bit of time to get rid of the red text in a trade room that then becomes redundant?
