if changing the game as u said,for that will increase the change of the team has stronger

fighters to win,because their fighter never die in a longer period.I think that will break

the balance of a battle.

Besides,this change is not easy to come ture for progammers......

I can't believe the answers above.

It's a straight programming issue.  The planes are considered children to the parent CV.  The children do not exist without the parent entity.  When your CV is sunk, they are gone at the same time.

An escort may remain because it is beholden to your userid, not the CV or BB.  It simply follows the primary ship and reattaches or engages enemy on its own AI. As an escort, it has its own code.  However the escort does disappear when you hit esc and leave the game.  That's a parent child relationship between the escort and your userid.

To make the planes independent of the CV and beholden to your userid after the CV is sunk is a whole level of reprogramming that's not going to happen.

Even if it was possible its all about game mechanics. When you're dead you're out. BB scouts dont remain. Escorts do as long as you stay in the room but you can no longer control them after you are dead.

Yea dont get me wrong, I've reccomended this suggestion countless times on the old forums. Just explaining it why it is how it is.
