whats the differnce,besides shell speed and reload speed,we know they are like the same guns,same shells,but do L guns do more HE dmg because of its faster velocity so when the shells hit,the impact makes the shell more damaging?

Damage is the same. The D guns weigh less, fire slightly faster, and have less range. The L guns weigh more, fire slower, but have more range. Most battleships use the L guns.
