Welcome to the Marine Nationale! You have chosen to enter into one of the most intresting nations of
NavyFIELD that depicts what the French Navy looked like and could have looked like in World War II.
The MN has a very unique ship tree, but don't be frightened, the grind is quite easy.
The Marine Nationale is a master of "Hit And Run" tactics, as their ships are fast, small, and deal large
amounts of damage. I hope you enjoy playing the Marine Nationale as much as I do, and hope you become
a better player by reading this guide. This guide will cover each ship's strengths and weaknesses,
best weapon setups, tactics, sailors, and more. Each ship's info will include: Name, Level, Cost,
Durabiltiy, Size, Combat Rating, reccomended gun setups, and grinding tips.
The guide will be arranged by a ship's level and type. Marine Nationale Pros And Cons

The first thing anyone that plays NavyFIELD has to worry about is Crew. Here, you will find the setups that work best for the Marine Nationale.
As For All Nations, the better base, the better the ship's performance, so if you want a decent MN BB, make sure all the needed sailors are at LEAST +11.
For Battleships With AA
1 +14 Potential Sailor for the BO. (If you want a better rep rate, try to give your BO a good rep rate) 4 Gunners with at LEAST +11/11 Stats For Acc and Reload. (2 For main guns, 2 for AA guns) 1 Scout Pilot
For Support crew, its more of a matter of what game play style you want. If You want Speed: 5 Engineers 3 Repairmen
If you want a Balanced Setup: 4 Repairmen. 4 Engineers.
(Not Recommended) If you want a faster rep rate: 5 Repairmen. 3 Engineers.
For Battleships Without AA 1 Sailor with a Potential of +14 at the very least. 2 Gunners with a base of at least +11/11. And 1 Scout with a Base of at least +11 in the Aircraft Stat.
And as for support, this setups gives you 2 more spots for supports, in all you get 10 support slots.
Again, it's all about personal preference.
If you want speed: 6 Engineers. 4 Repairmen.
If you want it balanced: 5 Repairmen. 5 Engineers.
(Not Recommended) If you want a very fast repair rate: 6 Repairmen. 4 Engineers. NOTE: There is a Repair Cap, 280 DP/s , at level 120, with the balanced setup, you will hit this cap, therefore, this setup is kind of a waste.
Carriers
For Carriers: The Marine Nationale's Aircraft Carriers are very nice looking, and pack quite a punch for their small size. The French have decent Fighters and good Bombers, so it it is a good idea to have your Carrier geared toward Bombers, still, you might want a few fighters to kill other fighters and scout for your bombers.
To clear a note about French fighters, they are fine vs. other nations fighters in combat, the reason people dislike them is they have a low amount of fuel at the moment.
Setups Bombardiers (DB/TB)
Bomber Whore -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |2 Gunners |Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Fighter |2 Gunners|Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Fighter |Fighter |2 Gunners| Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter| 2 Gunners |Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter| 2 Gunners |Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Bomber |Bomber |Bomber |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter| 2 Gunners |Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Bomber |Bomber |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter| 2 Gunners |Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Bomber |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter| 2 Gunners |Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter |Fighter| 2 Gunners |Seaman | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fighter Whore
Chasses (FP/Locals)
No matter what setup you use, you need a Seaman, of course, if you have good base bombers, you dont need to worry about them, if you have any fighters, the seaman should be at least +12 in the fighter stat to have any noticeable affect.
If you want some really good fighters, or bombers that ignore AAW at a low level, you can always buy elites, and/or boost them.
Submarines (WILL BE UPDATED FOR SS5-6)
There are several different types of setups for Subs, like the Battleship, it's all about play style.
For Speed: 1 BO 2 Torpedo men 1 Poten. Planesman 1 Poten. Sonarman 3 Engineers
For SD (Helps when your surfaced to absorb weapons fire.) 1 BO 2 Torpedo men 1 Planesman 1 Sonarman 1 Engineer 2 Restores
For a Balanced Setup: 1 BO 2 Torpedo men 1 Poten. Planesman 1 Sonarman 1 Engineer 1 Repairman
Tips: 1. For a Battleship crew, it is recommended to make a second BO and do a different line along with your BB BO, as there are alot of sailors to grind up.
2. If you want a good spread on the MN Dunkerque, or Lyon, at level, purchase elite accuracy gunners and boost them.
3. Remember, restorers are useless in high-tier battleships, and should not be used on your BB6.
4. French subs get rear torpedoes from the start, take advantage of this, you are the king of SS1.
5. To those that have heard horror stories about French Fighters: They are perfectly capable of going toe-to-toe with other nation's fighters, they just don't have as much fuel, so think of MN fighters are high tier Locals.
6. MN Bombers are very good in that they are very fast, and at high levels (90+), they can shoot down low tier fighters, locals, and scouts.
7. If you can get your hands on +12 sailors or Elites, or even EBVE, by all means, do it!

[LOADING CAPACITY] FCS: 30 Engine: 93 Aircraft Loading Capacity: 0 Number of Aircraft Take Off: 0 Torpedo & Aircraft Weapon Loading Capacity: 11
Combat Rating:
Gameplay Of The Jaguar The Jaguar, like all other nation's DD1s, is fairly small, with a modest armament. Though this ship has no good Anti-Aircraft weapons, it can pack a serious punch vs. other destroyers in a direct broadside, especially if you can hit the other DD with your torpedoes. When it comes to engaging larger ships, like CLs, CAs, And BBs, you dont stand a chance if you try to combat it directly, instead, you have to use more...disruptive tactics. Since you are small, larger ships will have a hard time hitting you, and will often have a large gap in the middle of their ship where there are no guns, I like to call this, the "Deadzone". If you use your small size, and lack of priority to the larger ship well, you can get inside this "Deadzone" and slowly suck the life out of him, like a Mosquito. The trick is, once you start firing, it's going to be a bull-ride, as the victim will attempt to fire on you and break off of you, you must carefully change speed and direction to stay in his "Deadzone". If you can manage to do this, you will likely succeed in destroying your prey.
In Great battles, ASW (Anti-Sub Warfare) is a good way to get XP, make sure to mount the correct weapons listed above in the ASW Setup. In the beginning of a Great battle, some submarines and small ships like to charge straight down the middle of the map, you should wait in middle row for your submarine-prey to get almost halfway across the map, then, begin move toward him. If he is occupied fighting other Subs, or other ships, then OH in and drop your DCs, or fire you HH, you are sure to hurt him if you fired near him. This is a good way to help your team in a low level ship, and at the end of the battle, you will be rewarded as such.
Le`Fantasque
[SPECIFICATIONS] Name: Le`Fantasque Type: Destroyer (DD) Cost: 41,000 Required Level: 17 Durabillity: 7,200 Normal Displacement: 1,441t Standard Displacement: 2,469t Maximum Displacement: 3,380t Turning Force: 28 Structural Strength: 63 AAW Defence: 149 Overheat Ratio: 71% Support Sailor Slot: 2
[ARMAMENTS] R-Mount: 50 / 50 / 50 / 50 / 50 T-Mount: 38 / 38 / 38
Basic Setup:
Best R-Slot Setups (By Level): x1 5.1"/40 cal Model 1924 (Level 12) Best Vs. Light Cruisers x2 3.5"/50 cal Model 1926 (Level 15) Best Vs. Frigates And Destroyers x1 3.9"/45 cal Model 1930 (Level 16) Best Vs. Frigates And Destroyers
Best T-Slot Setups: 17.7" M12D x 2 Launcher (Level 12) 17.7" M12D x 3 Launcher (Level 14)
[LOADING CAPACITY] FCS: 30 Engine: 103 Aircraft Loading Capacity: 0 Number of Aircraft Take Off: 0 Torpedo & Aircraft Weapon Loading Capacity: 16
Combat Rating:
Gameplay Of The Le`Fantasque: The Gameplay of this ship is essentially the same as the Gameplay of the Jaguar, only, provided with more powerful tools to do the job.
The Le`Fantasque is really, only an upgraded version of the Jaguar, and the same tactics should be used, just remember, the bigger the boat, the more attention you will get from your opponents.
L`Adroit
[SPECIFICATIONS] Type: Destroyer (DD) Cost: 53,000 Required Level: 19 Durabillity: 7,400 Normal Displacement: 522t Standard Displacement: 1,356t Maximum Displacement: 2,150t Turning Force: 30 Structural Strength: 60 AAW Defence: 167 Overheat Ratio: 70% Support Sailor Slot: 2
[ARMAMENTS] R-Mount: 59 / 59 / 59 / 59 T-Mount: 38 / 38
Basic Setup:
Best R-Slot Setups (By Level): 5.1"/40 cal Model 1919 (Level 14) Best Vs. Destroyers 3.5"/50 cal Model 1926 (Level 15) Best Vs, Small Destroyers and Frigates 5.46"/40 cal Model 1927 (Level 20) Best Vs. Cruisers
Best T-Slot Setups: 17.7" M12D x 2 Launcher (Level 12) 17.7" M12D x 3 Launcher (Level 14)
[LOADING CAPACITY] FCS: 35 Engine: 98 Aircraft Loading Capacity: 0 Number of Aircraft Take Off: 0 Torpedo & Aircraft Weapon Loading Capacity: 11
Combat Rating:
Gameplay of the L`Adroit The L`Adroit is another upgrade over the Jaguar, with more powerful guns, smaller size, and faster speed, it is much easier to engage larger ships, just don't get cocky with it, it's only a DD.
With The L`Adroit, it is time to stop chasing down big ships and annoying them, its time to kill them! Find a CL/CA and escort it, kill smaller ships and help it gun down larger ships.
In a Great Battle or GB2, hang around your Battleships, as your ship possesses Sonar, you will detect Submarines that are likely trying to sink your team (When your not using Over-Heat) and allow your allies to fire Hedge Hogs (HH and PHH) at them.
Mogador
