I apologize for the delayed response, as it took some time to discuss things within the event team leadership AND discussing with the team leader for Wombo Combo. For those who think we are "ignoring" or "purposely forgetting" this event, please get all of your facts straight before attempting to make outrageous claims.

I had already informed Ooh_Kill_em that we would be discussing it within the team and determining the choice of action that we would take, and to expect an announcement within a few days. He said he would pass it along to his team.

In regards to the Wombo Combo vs. Super Noobs match, the leader of the Wombo Combo team has agreed to forfeit the match, as only 1 of his team members was online at the time, another of his was a no-show for the entire tournament, and his team was down to a total 3 players who would have ultimately attended. 

Because of this, the team Super Noobs will be given the win for their battle. I do apologize that no referee was there and have already explained what happened to ooh_kill_em, who is passing it along to his team. 

Prize details:

Team MF/Hawk, as your team came in first place, your members will get to choose between the following prizes:

• 1st Place: 300 Olives per person and 100 medals (or) Event Ship(s) totaling 800 medals.

• 3rd Place: 100 Olives per person and 25 medals (or) DD-MP.

Lastly, I would like to thank all teams that signed up and participated in our first attempt at a larger scale community event.

When we initially posted this event and the details, after receiving very few team sign-ups for the first 3-4 days I though I was going to have to scrap this event due to lack of interest. I couldn't believe it when I logged in one day and saw 9-10 sign-ups waiting for me. Finally, by the end of sign-ups we had 16 registered teams.

We had many issues arise during the event and not all were resolved as some of the teams wished. I hope that our successes and failures during this event do not drive you away from the next set of events we are planning. This is the first time this event team has ever attempted an event of this scale and we are still in the learning stages.

From what I have seen from this tournament, there was enough interest that we will be doing something similar in the future. Perhaps we may see a return of fleet league eventually after all.
