Nexon to Publish Navyfield 2

Set to unveil in Europe at gamescom 2012, official release in North America and Europe in 2013

Luxembourg, Germany - Aug. 8, 2012 -
NEXON Co., Ltd., a worldwide leader in free-to-play games, today announced that Navyfield 2, Nexon's newest online real-time strategy (RTS) game, will be unveiled and demonstrated at Gamescom 2012 in Koln, Germany later this month. Navyfield 2 will be showcased * another upcoming Nexon title. Its release in Europe and North America is scheduled for 2013.

Navyfield 2: Conqueror of the Ocean is an online game that uses the real-time strategy (RTS) model in a truly innovative way. Similar to the well-known original title, Navyfield, Navyfield2 utilizes the same impressive graphical capabilities of the Gamebryo engine and supports up to 192 ships controlled by 64 players at a time. Playable ships range from destroyers and submarines to aircraft carriers, and are fully customizable down to their crew and technical equipment. Navyfield2 is a fast-paced, action intensive Naval RTS that utilizes the Unreal Engine 3 to provide historical settings from the time period of World Wars I and II..

"We are very proud to add yet another high quality title like Navyfield 2 to our portfolio," said Sung Jin Kim, Nexon Europe's CEO. "Navyfield 2 is moving forward with a brand new take on the real-time strategy model and we're really excited to be a part of it."

With Navyfield 2 and * Nexon Europe will extend its portfolio in 2013 to eight online Games, including  *

Here is how it is going to go down.

NEXON will take total control of the day to day managment of the game just like Electronic Arts does with it's family of games.  All that SDE will be responsible for is content.  NEXON will be responsible for generating revenue i.e. NX game cards and they will manage the forums, the support and anti-hack(giggle).

NEXON's core demographic is 15 and under.

NF2 is going to fail. I'm probably will still be waiting on my ban appeal to even been answered. Nothing like getting a perma banned for reporting the Password Recovery feature on their website was broken =.= 2 years, 5 different attempts, not a single ticket even looked at.

Still had hope for what, SDE?

How on earth would that have been any better?

Nexon is one of the worst game companies out there. They take  SEVERAL months to answer one support ticket, and that's if they even bother to answer it. Usually they just use an automated response saying send in the ticket again. My record ticket without getting a response from them is going on about 5 or 6 years now. The quickest they have answered one of my tickets is in 2 months. They also claim to have an anti-hack system for their games but that is a big fat joke. You'll be lucky to only run into 15 hackers every 10 games.
