  • KM AA ship?

hye i would like to ask which ship is good for AA?

either then emden and PCA that is,

and which AA guns and the angel are suit with those ships?

Kaiser>H44. On h44 you run rather quickly out of ammo on the smaller t-slots and each gun covers just ~160° while Kaiser has more ammo space and 180° cover from each gun.

Ppro is hands down the KM AA ship, with a 5 gun broadside who's angles don't suck you have BB4/CV5 AA firepower (arguably better angles than the H39). I skipped the PPro 2 because that boat doesn't really have a use in today's rooms.

Emden is retarded because you have to use R-slots which is just...retarded. Plus you don't make as much money as mentioned.

Use the L30 AA guns for better reload until you have higher level gunners. Someone said KM AA is about spam because it's ridiculously effective. You don't have the imba range of KM/IJN AA so you'll have to live with spamming it at short range

There's nothing wrong with R-slot AA. It's not ideal if planes are running circles around your ship, but avoiding that situation as best as you can,seperates a decent AA player from the spamwhores.
Most R-slot AA has 1 big advantage over most T-slot AA, the KM40 and far more ammo ( = more xp/cash in more AA intense/lenghty games).
The 1 big problem with Emden is displacement. If you use 4 gold bar AA gunners, you have hardly any displacement left for anything else.

I'd agree about using AA in R slots being a waste.
KM has awesome long range guns for the CAs in the deutshland line and Moltke
(well the 11" is no godgun but certainly something you don't see on a shipclass lower than BB.) 

And unlike IJN KM does not really have any truly big hitters like the IJN 6.1" triples (120 firepower and 3 shells) and their T slots are pretty damn decent on most ships
(Unlike IJN that usually has terrible T slots on everything till BB4 with two exeptions for their PBB and PCA).

Yeah, KM only has the seriously underpowered KM40, 99 damage 2 barrels, fires only 2.5 times as fast as the IJN 6".

KM R-slot AA isn't for everyone, but it is a very viable alternative.

Don't defend sub optimal setup.
They're nice if you want to gimp yourself for a challange with one less gun and huge spacing between them.

And don't even try comparing Moltke R slot AA to Mogami.
The range and alpha strike of the latter usually takes care of entire squadrons before the owner knows what happened.

Moltke is not KM's best AA CA. But using Moltke over PPro has the same advantages of using Asama over Mogami.

No. Asama is terrible for AA but unlike Mogami it can use 14" N guns and trade shots with BB1-2 on a more or less equal footing.
The 4 T slots are better than most ships below BB4 but it's still kinda inadequatesince 2 guns are put apart from the rest and the coverage at certain nagles only lets 2 guns fire.

AA wise mogami is just far FAR better.

As for PPro...  The AA is also spaced widely apart so if someone bunches his planes up then we have a problem because even if we cross the guidelines half of our firepower just flies around  them and only 1 or 2 guns hit their marks.

It's still one of the best all purpouse CAs out there to use in GB imo.
